Don't like the honours system. CEO of a small charity I used to volunteer for got an MBE after 20 years service. Lewis gets a knighthood for winning car races and being paid umpteen millions a year. What's the point?

Hopefully it'll encourage him to pull out of the tax dodging schemes he's in, and also stop promoting Countries with appalling human rights records.

I concur .. but I've had the feeling all season that F1 wanted to put an end to Mercedes monopoly of the title, Verstappen has been guilty several times throughout the season of overstepping the mark as to what is racing and what is dodgem cars, he does love to push other drivers off the track. He's young and eager and I get that but at times during this season he has been a loose cannon.
Loose cannon now that is a sport.

That was the first race I think I’ve ever watched it could very well be the last.

Let me get this right……with 5 laps to go Hammo is well ahead ( 11 seconds) of Verstapo and there’s no way he’s going to get caught.

Some other driver crashes due to being a bit **** and the safety car comes out, enabling Verstapo but not Hammo to switch to better tyres.

Race restarts with the 11 second lead wiped out and Verstapo wins due to his tyre change and the lead being nullified.

Really?

<laugh>

I’m not keen on Hammo and have no opinion on Verstapo but that’s shambolic at best.

it makes no sense.
I know but it's great.
Hammo what a great name.

I'd would have loved to see Jocky Wilson or Bill Werbinuik in a F1 car.
I would hate to see Lewis Hamilton play snooker.
He would be liked more if he paid his tax here.

Plenty of sports stars, musicians and business people go live elsewhere to avoid UK taxes, the smart ones keep quiet.

The word that comes into mind when I see Lewis Hamilton is hypocrite.

I suggested what I would have done if I was the race director. Just so we're clear, I am NOT the race director. The correct procedure would have been to finish behind the safety car as countless races have done before, boring but fair.
Does that mean the safety car would have won. Who was driving that?
