Using plastics for me is not the issue.
How they are disposed of is the issue.
It's all too easy for plastics to enter the environment mainly due to lack of education which leads to a lack of respect for the environment.
Manufacturers of products and packaging should be made more responsible for what they put out there.
A deposit return scheme would prevent most bottles and cans entering the environment. Not just a 10 or 20p deposit, make it 50% or more of the cost of the product. Make it worth the effort.
Ban polystyrene products. Polystyrene is the work of the devil.

Anyway, I agree with the pouch, but I'd control the source. Very first thing I'd do is stop people from reproducing without the right to do so, as in the basic right to bear child, whether you're rich, poor, black, white, beige, asian, ginger or gay, is removed. You have to apply instead.

Think of how many people we could employ to be our population control board? Think of the incredible future impact on crime, famine, poverty, the economy and the environment? We'd be back on track in one generation.

Instant DQ (i.e. sterilisation) for drug addicts, *****philes, rapists and murderers. Broken home? Here's your medication, ma'am. Pregnant with no money? Just take two of these, you'll be right as rain. Up the duff and on the streets? 1 hour in outpatients will sort the problem.

My suggestion would be a cut off at 70, everyone gets the chance to make it to the big 7-0, then death by beautiful execution prostitutes....

People want to go to work, people NEED to go to work to get paid to put food on the table for their families etc.

The protest is supposedly about making changes at Govt level not dicking off people who simply want to go about their business - especially on a system which is significantly more eco-friendly than people using cars

They have scored a massive own goal here

I thought he sold his private jet for this reason? Regardless I think although well meaning he may be underestimating the problem <laugh> He is doing something and if everyone did the same it would make a difference.

you cannot change the human race easily, but it takes people who are willing to go up against an tide do succeed and certainly not people that only care about themselves.
 
I don't agree with violence generally. I don't think the protestors deserved a kicking, but I do think its acceptable to pull them off the top and use physical force to remove them from the area. Naturally if you start to **** with someone's livelihood, then you know the risk you are taking. They knew they risked getting a kicking by doing what they did. They went ahead anyway, and got one. As I say not my way of dealing with it but people have had enough.
