Proof of the afterlife - Dave Mackay reincarnated in Gary Mabbutts' foot !!! Speaking exclusively. Mr Mackay said : I didn't even feel it. < The day today >
Not sure I want to hear any more of that, way too distressing. I fear he will lose those legs before too much longer if the feeling is so little in them. Which will be heart-breaking to happen to such a good man.
Was only with us for a season, but I liked Dempsey. Worked hard in every match and his pressure created goals. He had a long career and made his mark with his country too, so he's earned a rest.
Had to double check that - really thought he was with us longer!! Decent pro and deserves a good retirement
…..and Michael Dawson's Notts Forest knocked out Newcastle.....but Rafa's not worried...…..I bet the Newcastle fans are!!!!!!
I know he has got to be upbeat but in no way shape or form were they the better team. They created bugger all against a half changed mid-table Championship team that is still getting used to playing together after wholesale changes in the summer. I wonder if he has already given up on the Toon and has half an eye on the Man Utd job if Mourinho gets the boot in a few more games or so. He would be seen as a steady pair of hands to see out the season by the board.
I'm not sure if he'd take it, given his connection to Liverpool. He's still very fondly thought of up there and he seems to still love the place, too. That would come to an abrupt end.
Played the whole 90 minutes on the left of a three. They drew 0-0 with Dortmund who beat Leipzig 4-1 last week. Good result.
Peter Crouch excellent on the BBC One Show. Told a lovely anecdotal story about Benny bringing his packed lunch of chocolate bar, packet of crisps and can of coke when the rest of the team were fueling up with carbs and protein! Crouchie commented: 'he was a great player and ran all day, so didn't do him harm" lol
He's released a book and talked about it in a long interview for radio five live earlier in the week, sounds like a must read. He talked about Abi being so uninterested in football, that she would ring him at 2:45 on a Saturday and ask him what he was doing! A mohair jersey he bought from Harrods that cost him £800 and he only wore it once. He said it wasn't him. His cars, he drove a Renault for ages because his dad told him that it was a good car but eventually bought an Aston Martin. He hated it, found it difficult to get in and out of and after an incident (not an accident) with Roy Keane in some Cheshire country lane he sold it at a significant loss. He talked about Baliotelli, who had his Bentley Continental wrapped in Camouflage. He said it was a waste of time as it stood out so much because it was always parked outside of nightclubs. He said Mario would have done better to have had a picture of a couple of bouncers and some gold rope sprayed on it if he wanted it to blend in. The book sounds a total gas.
Here's the exact moment DeAndre Yedlin became everyone's favourite footballer ...everyone except those bitter Neymar fanboys who are trying to say that, as Brazil have won five World Cups, Yedlin isn't allowed to call Neymar a diving piece of ****
