Good for him and probably very good for the US national team. Soccer is growing exponentially (finally, after decades of failed attempts) and the quality of homegrown players is really improving.

Fully agree. I can't understand this at all. International football is a totally different beast to club football, and when you look at the who's who of former USA managers, you'd have to say it's a huge step down for a man with his CV.

I think as Left on the Shelf said US football is growing rapidly and along with Mexico and Canada the US is hosting the 2026 World Cup. Pochetino managing on home ground for the US. Not a step down IMO.
I’ve often said the moment he was done in my eyes was when he cried after the semi final game against Ajax and then saying strange things about leaving Spurs if they won etc.
That said, he got the better of Ange last season
