I can see the inhabitants of Wiltshire (its the least populated English County x size) exercising vigorously their democratic right to protest when the plans to build another Swindon near Devizes is revealed.
According to the latest polls, the Remain campaign are leading by a fair margin..
But everyone I speak to is vehemently out.. We did a whats app group poll of 25 people yesterday. Only 1 in the group was In, but I accept the demographic will sway that to some degree.
As said previously, its the younger ones that feel the need to stay but they're also the group least likely to vote!

Unfortunately for them building a new Swindon is more important. Building has to be a priority of this country

Guys, in my mind there are a number of factors which worry me about immigration (at the rate it is happening now)
1. Infrastructure: Ok we have the physical capability and physical room to build a new Leicester every year (for a while - until all our green space has gone) - but who will pay for it? Who will staff the schools? the hospitals? Police? Us taxpayers of course.
2. Culture: Many (not all) have a culture and mindset that is absolutely hostile to ours. Some (and I stress not ALL, but a significant and dangerous minority) are so opposed to western liberal values that they turn to extreme violence, hate preaching and occasionally terrorism in order to attack us, whilst playing the 'race card' whenever they are challenged.
3. Security: Immigration on the scale we have witnessed puts a massive strain on the security services. These people are NOT British, so they have different loyalties and allegiances. They often have little or no paperwork (the illegals actually destroy theirs, to prevent them being sent back to their country of origin). They will group together, which is only human nature - we do it in ex-pat communities abroad too, but in enormous groups (like in Bradford for example) they become very difficult to police. They also have a tendency to protect, or at least turn a blind eye, to the extreme values and actions of the minority of their 'brothers' - they may not approve of their behaviour, but they rarely 'shop' one of their own, which makes policing difficult - they tend to 'close ranks' and see the police as an oppressive body to be resisted. Let's not fool ourselves that they are ALL innocent victims of a terrible war. Whilst some undoubtedly are, there are others who have committed unfathomable crimes in their home countries and are 'riding' the surge of genuine refugees in order to slip in and commit the same crimes against our own communities. These people are de-sensitised - they have witnessed and sometimes participated in untold horrors on a daily basis as part of daily life, so they will hardly listen when we ask them nicely to behave. Young men, with no skills whatsoever except killing. In Syria, they were people to be feared and respected, whilst over here they will only be a waiter or a shop assistant or taxi driver.
Again, before people play the (very boring) race card, I stress that we ARE talking about a small minority of people who would take to violence, but if it's only 2% - 2% of 350,000 Is 7000 - that's a lot of extremists - living amongst a mainly passive community and spreading their poison. 7000 time bombs waiting to explode - with another 7000 arriving each YEAR. 2% is a complete guess - there are a number of figures being batted about by various media outlets - nobody knows the exact figure but I would put my house on the bet that it most certainly is not zero.
Controlled immigration is good. Uncontrolled immigration will destroy us and everything we stand for.
This referendum will be won and lost on immigration - the people I speak to rate immigration as being more important even than the economy, because of its link to security, and the safety of their families, children and communities.

And I get worried with your cynicism towards the problems of my generation. Its alright for those above who won't face the struggles like you.

When will this building stop? In 10 years time we need more buildings so by 2050 we can then build these flying cities, that's obviously in your head.
Example of some of the youth today
They are interviewing students on the referendum vote on tv. One says "a lot of students don't vote, because they don't feel their votes have an impact". I'm struggling to see what sort of thing she must be studying to come up with that gem.
It is a daft thing to say but I can kind of see where she's coming from. It's not a reason to not vote but I do think there is every reason for the youth to be cynical about politics at the moment (I'm 24 for what it's worth). He is very delusional but Russell Brand got it right when he said he was wrong to say people shouldn't vote, but that people should actually have something to vote for.
As it stands whichever way you look you've got absolute BS being spouted. The Tories who seem absolutely determined to continually piss on anyone who is below middle class, Labour who are all over the place and delusional if well-meaning, the same for the Greens, the Lib Dems are just useless; UKIP are the only party who seem to have their act together, but they're tarnished by the borderline racists that constantly spout from their party and the fact that they instantly lose a vote if someone wants to stay in Europe, regardless of being agreeable on their other policies.
I know it didn't exactly turn out well, and it sounds daft seeing as I wasn't old enough to understand at the time, but looking back it seems a far cry from the optimism that seemed to radiate from Labour winning in 1997.
I voted Labour nearly all my life (wife is Tory) , but then I looked at history.
Labour in power = lower rates but bigger debts, forcing a impending recesion, then Tories come into power at the height of the redesign and higher taxes and which then reduces debts, country starts to climb out of recession. People not happy with higher taxes and then vote in Labour and the cycle begins again. You've just got to go back through history to see the cycle.
I'm not saying I won't vote labour again but I won't with Corbyn in charge as I've never seen a more arrogant, rude person as him.

Saying the needs of the majority over a few hundred villagers is not ignoring democratic processes
I don't want to be on the same PLANET as someone who calls IRA killers 'hero's, who should be applauded for their efforts', let alone vote for him to lead our country.
The man should be in prison for treachery. He was praising the murderers of innocent British citizens - those who he wants to lead!

Maybe its the demons of youth that make you miss points, but part of democratic process are applications, appeals, the law.
Unless you are looking at compulsory purchase orders of enormous areas of land which would affect far far more than a few villagers, aided by entirely new legislation with cross party support / support from the populace. It is not they type of thing that can be hidden in a election manifestos appendix.
I have not read anywhere that they don't want to do anything, not help or make scapegoats of anyone, they just want to be free and bring in some form of control, just like any other freedom loving nationals.
When have I ever blamed anything on the immigrants? I've stayed out of most of that debate apart from mentioning the strain on the country with the expanding population.
I let it lay that you felt the need to class me a racist, then hide behind the fact of you pretended to make a mistake. But to be honest you made a reference towards the Welsh the other day which can be termed as racist.
