Rooney may just be stupid enough to think that he's playing for United if there are enough Man U players on the pitch. For that reason, I'd drop Carroll in favour of Wellbeck, and give Young another chance. Ashley has been England's most consistently good attacking player for a while now, and if anyone has earned the right to make amends for a mediocre game, it's him.

Speaking of mediocre games, I'm flicking between two right now.

Yet they appear to have done nothing about the running battles in the streets between Polish and Russian fans.

They are holding an investigation..

Good start for England although we were poor with the ball at times on Friday which would be a problem against somebody like Spain.

I'd play Rooney and hope he can control himself like he does for Man U.

Been a good tournament so far.

Watching the Germany vs Denmark game - don't know who the commentator is, but as the teams were coming out he said "..all four teams in the group could go out.." The amount of money he is no doubt being paid, you'd think he could have worded that a bit better. <laugh>

Well I said I thought Holland would do well, and Russia & Italy would be the surprise packages... so might as well put a bet on Italy not qualifying either <whistle>

So Russia has been fined 30,000 euros for the setting off and throwing of fireworks by spectators, displaying of illicit banners and the invasion of the pitch by a supporter, while Bendtner is banned one game and fined 100,000 euros for showing a betting company logo on his underpants.... Glad to see UEFA have their priorities right, can't go upsetting the sponsors!

I know, crazy isn't it !

Rooney to be relaesed from his Euro 2012 cage, let's hope he's not too much of a bull in a China shop against Ukraine. GAME ON SOON !!

I'd be happy to face either Spain or Italy, both look beatable. Moreover, IF we get through beating a stronger contender would do the team's confidence the world of good !

Looking forward to today's game, let's hope home support doesn't make it too difficult fro us to get to the last 8.
