I do think Spain would have rather faced us than France based on what both teams can potentially do..just that France have players who turn up when they fancy.

    Bit like their rugby team.

It has been reported here that once again there are arguments in the French camp and it is not a very happy place.

Germany plough through. Looks like it could be two great semi-finals.

Germany V England and Spain v Portugal would be quite tasty.

I am 100% certain that my not606 sweepstakes team will win tomorrow.

Not sure which one though. ;)

I'm not sure about playing without a striker. However, all their midfielders can play and the French full backs look a bit lost, not knowing whether to push into midfield to combat their passing or keep the back 4 shape. Fair play to Spain, it is sort of reinventing the game a bit.

France haven't had a shot on target yet, also they look cream crackered chasing shadows everywhere. I am not sure how we (England) will get on tomorrow but I am happy we have avoided Spain. OK, IF (yes big IF) we get further we might face them...but I'd rather it in the final than now.

As the commentators said though, every team that face Spain play to defend against them! No one ever goes for it against them, play your own game I say and let the opposition worry about you, not the other way around! Yes Spain are good, but that good? they are not invincible, if only teams would play their own game against them! IMHO (says the Scotsman whose manager sent out 10 defenders against the Czech republic in the qualifiers<yikes>, I have to live with that:()

What are France trying to do playing two right backs? All that is happening is that Spain attack down the other side, until the goal. :(

Still the next goal will go to France, Spain will lose their ability to pass the ball, and tomorrow everyone out here will be happy. <doh>

I think the entire tournament has been defensive. No one seems to have been willing to run at defenders or play forward balls, they have been sideways or backwards. Its been pretty dull compared to previous years.

I also have to say the standard of officiating has been atrocious when you consider all of these officials are the very top level officials and will have been officiating at the top level in their country for years.
