But that's why people have issues with Southgate. iF the lads injured you put him on the bench.

His performances in this tournament have been dreadful for the quality he has.

Southgate has these lads playing like his Boro team.

Aye, Kane has had an outstanding season but you could see in the first couple of games he was way off the pace ,even though he scored he offered very little.

I certainly wouldn't have started him for some of the games when you could see how much quicker are up front when he is eventually replaced.

Shaw was shocking 2md half imo, got caught out of position so many times in the 2nd half - understandable as hasnt started a game since Feb

Agreed. Walker will get a lot of the casual blame for the goals, but I thought he was hung out to dry on both, especially the first. the whole defence had moved across to cover the gaps on the left and Walker had no choice but to go to the man in the middle and Saka wasn't behind to cover him.

He was faultless in the first half, but his England career has ended on a devastating low. I feel sorry for him as much as anyone.

I think positionally Walker is poor as he thinks his pace will always get him out of danger.

Hopefully Reece James stays fit in years to come and make that position his.

I thought Shaw tired second half and was stretched a lot. He did a very good job on Yamal first half though.

Shaw marked him out the game he was class, first half he didn’t get a sniff. Only thing Yamal done was play the ball over to Williams for the goal where Walker was daydreaming and left him in acres of space

Mate he was unbelievable for City last season and schooled Vincious Junior in the Champions league. Why our players cant replicate it for England has always been a big mystery

I was absolutely screaming at Saka to follow his man when they broke for the winner, you could see it happening right away. Walker had no chance.
