Only team that have impressed me on our side of the draw are Austria.
Yeah. Like a load of solid teams that will be challenging, but if we have true aspirations to win this tournament, to not have to play Germany/France/Portugal/Spain until the final is really fortunate and have to take those kind of opportunities. Fingers crossed we can get there

Only team consistently impressive on the other side is Spain.

Let's be honest, if we'd have finished 2nd in our group (like France), lost to Georgia (like Portugal) or needed a last minute equaliser to salvage a draw against Switzerland at home (like Germany) we'd have all been kicking off at England, much the same as we already are. None of them have been that great.

Gutted it is not Holland to be honest. Was lookinh forward to an atmosphere and weekend to remember.

Anyone thinking Slovakia are a pushover doesnt pay much attention to international football I daresay. It is madness to think England should be rolling these teams over. International football has moved at an incredible pace, in terms of team coaching and organisation, over the last 5 or 6 years. This tournament is proof of that - the nations with the big domestic leagues have to raise their game, collectively. Now we have jeopardy in games it is going to be really interesting. Teams like Slovakia can play with freedom and take all kinds of chances. Very interesting last 16 games.

I thought that after the Georgia game, you had everything falling in your lap until the unexpected happened ...

... still, should be a game when England do most of the attacking.

You'll have a great time whatever happens.

Yeah there are no easy games I just feel that Slovakia will play it a bit like Slovenia and will hope to get a penalty shootout.
My lad just got back today, he somehow managed to get a ticket for the England game in Cologne. A great experience despite the performance.Hope you have a great time over there. <cheers>

I'm quite pleased we got Slovakia.

Because there may have been an opportunity to hide when the Dutch put us out. No hiding place when Slovakia do it.

This is going to be Iceland 2.

Exactly mate, going out there for a good old time. Good lads, plenty of beer, and hopefully a great atmosphere. No idea what the Slovakian folk are like, but they should be proud and happy, so hoping we get to have a few beers with some cracking people and maybe even make a few new footy pals.

Italy won't be easy...assuming they get passed Slovakia

I reckon we’ll still be fairly decent favourites though. This is where we’ll be tested now, teams will be organised and set up to frustrate it’s down to the manager and the players to make it happen.

There’s only one squad on paper anywhere near ours imo and that’s France.

How can Slovakia come 3rd in their group and get the easiest of draws.

If Serbia had scored against us and our group all finished with 3 points from 3 draws and 0 GD how is it decided who progresses?
