I get that, but we're only talking about the last choice defender who is unlikely to get off the bench anyway. Guehi, Konsa, Walker and Gomez will all get game time before Dunk imo.
Surprised he didn't make room for Maguire, not that I think he's a brilliant player, just that he's one of Southgate's shoe ins.

Even if thats the case surely taking Branthwaite makes more sense to get him experienced in the way tournament football is cause he surely has a massive future in an England shirt
I have to say, having looked at the squads, I do think ourselves and France are levels ahead. And I would take our depth of talent over theirs, just. Might all hinge on Walker V Mbappe and nobody better to try and keep him quiet.

I agree on Branthwaite by the way, but the point I'm making really is that you could ask 100 people what the 26 should be and I bet you wouldn't get more than 10 in agreement.
So as long as there's no absolute clanger (there's not), I don't think it's worth the fight over the 20-26th picks.

Didn't realise Branthwaite had gone. Surprised at that. A lot of hype around him.
He’ll be at one of the top clubs very soon mate. Quality defender who’ll only get better. 22 later this month, his potential is huge.
