You're a very strange fellow. You feel threatened by any question you disaagree with. It hasn't occurred to you that a vote in parliament is also part of the democratic process. No disrespect, but I would really prefer it, if you have no intention of dialogue, that you don't respond to my posts.

But they don't blame them as the majority have died so didn't get to vote. They blame the 50 pluses who benefited from the people who did the fighting and are now "alright Jack".

One thing I find interesting about the remainers is how in general they fail to listen to any argument the Out vote put forward, none of which are racist or any of the other things we get tarred with. I even know many Out voters who are even apprehensive about mentioning in their workplace or in public or even in family homes, how they voted...more or less scared. Is that the new democracy in this country has the political landscape changed and we've suddenly become communist?

I just cannot agree with you that what I said gave any indication that I felt threatened. Obviously I can't stop you coming out with weird statements so you will just go ahead with them.
I'm not saying that a vote in parliament isn't democratic but it seems silly to have a vote of the electorate which is then capable of being overturned by a vote limited to MPs. I would suggest a vote of the whole electorate is more democratic than a vote of only MPs.
I have the right to respond to any of your posts and I will exercise that right. This is what forums are about. It's just like you have the right to make silly statements.

also interesting that remainers appear to assume all Out voters are white, yeah right, many I know certainly are not white and are from various cultural and religious family back grounds.

I'd wager there are more 50-89 year olds knocking about than 89+ year olds.

Custard, you make these daft statements/memes and then spin around in a circle when questioned on them. Sometimes you even denying post stuff when it's reposted!

I admire your tenacity but of all the Leavers on this thread you have by far the limpest grasp of the issues being discussed!

I think they feel that way, not for the reasons you mention, but because they are fully aware there is a group of voters in their camp who were influenced by their xenophobia, and many of the Leave voters you mention either don't want to be associated as one of those, or don't want to admit to being one. Having said that, there were many many Leave voters for whom xenophobia didn't come into it, they just dislike the "EU machine" and believe we can do better on our own.

My old man's not white, he voted Leave and, sadly, he's a racist.

With respect - I think it works both ways for those that vote for more legitimate reasons from both camps, I personally think the use of ageism is disgusting as much as is being racist. I'm sure I heard somewhere that a certain younger age group not sure the years, that more than 60% didn't vote, if that is true maybe people need to be looking at the 13 million that didn't vote than laying the blame with the 17 million outers that exercised their democratic right <ok>

Agree completely. I can't stand ****ing arseholes who didn't vote 1) because they had a direct impact on the result, and 2) because they were too stupid or lazy to understand the implications. They have absolutely **** all reason to have a say now <ok>
