mind you, it comes to something when their only threads started on their own board are celebrating holt not getting called up
of course, they couldn't care less about us...

there's only one person showing a lack of respect on this thread and that is yorkie![]()

Let them have their fun. We are gutted for our Captain who deserved a chance of playing for his country. Ruddy got picked and rightly so.
1p5wich fans literally have nothing to smile about, other than what happens to us. Poor bastards![]()
I did tell you so though.
It was always pretty deluded to think a player of Holt's calibre could pull on the national shirt. You can't get away with pulling defenders about in international football, it's as simple as that. You can talk about his goals but he has no experience and scoring off your shoulder / back / arse / shin is all very well but won't win you England caps. He was probably about tenth on the list behind lots of strikers with big game experience.

I think the difference is that your heads are up in the clouds when your team isn't. We are going through a crap time but we don't make any pretense about it.

Sad that he'll be one of only a few that actually deserve there place. Holt not getting in is a joke, it's not an oversight, it's a slur on our football club and represents what amounts to gross negligence from the FA and Hodgson.

im sure there are articles for each striker, including Lambert. You chose to read the ones about Holt. Certainly pundits I've seen, Shearer, Lineker, Lawrenson and the Sky Sports lot didn't think he should go. You couldn't see past your bias and the reaction about him being hard done by is nonsense.
I don't think I'd take Carroll or Defoe personally but it just shows how far down the pecking order Holt was.
I'd personally have taken Michael Chopra, Ipswich Town's star striker! You chose to read the ones about Holt.
