I never went to the KC but Wembley was something else. Thanks for posting the clips of last night look back in Amber.
Feel free Wethers. I use it all the time and it never fails to get a smile. I've got an interview on Thursday so I've had a cracking day today
Good luck with that.i got laid off from my job on Friday so hopefully I will be getting an interview somewhere.engineering companies in this area are pants though.so I doubt it will me much kop wherever it is
I didn't see the Healey brothers, he was sat with his wife outside his box behind the Directors box seats and I was sat right in front of him during the Tom Chaplin set, then I went and took my seats on the floor. He looked well, and I saw him after ELO back upstairs, he drove home in his Roller about 12.45.
Pleased for everyone who was there and had a good time, I wasn't as I was elsewhere, because it didn't piss down like at some of the gigs at the KC, in fact what seems like most of the gigs at the KC.
Good luck too mate. I thought I'd be there until I retire. You give your heart and soul and the company changes direction. It sounds like my lad get finished today also. He is 25. Some good news though my daughter gas got over her depression and had a lovely boyfriend. Let me know how you get on by email Wethers
Looking around I couldn't see many empty seats, I don't know what the capacity would have been but it looked very close to capacity. If they lost money with that sort of level of attendance then they pitched the prices too low.
I can't remember exactly, but the capacity was 24-25,000 and they needed a bit shy of 20,000 to break even.
As far as I could see the wings where the only place you could have got more in, and frankly the view from there would have been ****e anyhow, as with the size of the set, I noticed it seemed to take up much more space than the Rod Stewart gig, as it seemed further forward.
I may be wrong, but it looked to me that the stage was further forward, and there wasn't as much room for seats on the pitch area. In addition the seating in the wings was also less because of this. So the capacity looked less than for Rod Stewart, but there again that was just my perception, so I might be wrong.
Having had to listen to well over an hour of the planning meeting for the gig, as part of the last SAG meeting, I can assure you that I'm correct.
