Idle Race. That takes me back. Creation, Action as well. Bands which never made it really big which were great to see live.
Thought it might be Mr Abramovich with Mr Slutsky here to speak to the Alarms about buying the club, then selling it back to them for £5 on the understanding that he retains the majority interest, thereby circumventing FA rules..
It was in the nineties that he was working on stuff for the Travelling Wilbury's with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison. Him and George often worked on stuff in the UK, sometimes the others came to the UK to work on stuff, or George and Jeff would take stuff back to the States they had been working on. Could have been that he was referring too?
No, Ollie Spencer told us the next time we saw him it was the Free As A Bird sessions that Jeff produced.
Very envious... I would have loved to have seen Idle Race perform and especially The Skeleton And The Roundabout. When we played Ollie Spencer onto the stage with Come With Me, he was genuinely moved that we'd bothered and indeed even knew the song.
