How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

  • Total voters

Agree with all of this, it was similar when Farage was selling them bollocks in order to leave the EU, he just made stuff up, and hoodwinked the proles into voting leave.

The most startling thing about the Brexit vote was the Welsh farmers (it would have been more apparent on our local news than national, probably) voted to a man for Brexit, even though they then lost all their EU subsidies and ended up moaning about that too. Idiots.

Anyway, the folk you refer to vote for who speaks their languiage the loudest, and one of the big problems with labour is that no one knew their actual policies either, bar Starmer visibly and regularly throwing money at other countries and leaving ours to rot. They don't see what work is (allegedly) going on in the background.

His little speech was too late.

I'm reminded again of the crook Aaron Banks, who after working with Steve Bannon to get Trump elected (the first time) then teamed up with Farage and the Leave campaign to promote Brexit.

His strategy with Bannon and Trump and now infamous words 'Facts don't matter....you have to appeal to people's emotions'

Again 'Facts don't matter'

They knew that economists, civil servants, analysists pouring over hours of data explaining to people how leaving the EU would be damaging for the economy of the UK would not have anywhere as big an impact as slogans like 'Take back control' 'Get Britain out' and 'Let's fund our NHS instead'

Which all turned out to be bollocks

Which was all predicted by the economists.

Brexit cost the UK £90bn alone last year

And this is what they see and hear.

And the reality is, we are throwing money at other countries while these folk don't have a pot to piss in.

It's no wonder they hear what the likes of reform say, whether it's true or not, because labour (and The Sun) weren't telling them anything.

Labour were not working for those people.

It was

I actually know fishermen and fishing families down here who argued with me that they would be far better off out of the EU as we'd be able to set our own quotas and ban EU fleets from our shores

None of that happened.

Overnight, one shellfish business I know (who voted to remain) lost ALL of their business as it was imported into the EU, and the red tape and extra costs of importing (from the EU) meant that it was too costly to buy from them.

Huge parts of UK fishing quotas were sold into the EU before Brexit and it was a big part of fishermen's income. It just became an expensive and bureaucratic nightmare to do any business. EU fleets were still allowed to fish UK waters and the quotas that UK fishermen were promised never materialised.

In short, it was an entirely predictable nightmare that they could have avoided.

Yeah like i said reform getting in is gonna be pinkies fault in the main

I also think starmer made a huge mistake in the aftermath of the Southport thing by trying to change the narrative from another jihadist murders innocent people, this time a load 6yr old girls into a far right problem, Hes tried to do the same with the most recent attack in GG too although not as brazenly

add to that him basically forcing his mps to vote against a national grooming enquiry which lost him huge support

No one likes him apart from @Archers Road

You think?

Him trying to turn the eye on those who protested/rioted while not making enough reference to the fact some utter monster had chopped up three girls was a ****ing huge mistake.

People aren't forgetting that, I certainly didn't. He's turning the country against himself with this you're all racists or far right if you don't agree with me rhetoric. I'm surprised half the time they got any votes.

Farage getting in will be your fault bro

Not mine <whistle>

I can see the possibility of him being expelled from standing.

I've so many questions over it, I can't be arsed boring myself with it. When you look at certain aspects/events it all seems what some might call, as dodgy as ****.

Depends how good his lawyers are.

When you try and explain or jusitfy something to the media you better make sure you've got your story straight and ensure the timeline of past events all stack up.

He's good at talking but the teachers report might suggest he needs support with complex tasks. :bandit:

This post is heavily edited, from what I'd like to say. <laugh>

I know a few of them have either been booted out for being racist homophobes, some have quit when they’ve found out that the job involves work that they have no idea how to go about doing, but this a new one <laugh>

Is there actually a point to Restore? Comes across as Lowe being bitter after falling out with his mates and trying to split the vote in whichever seats he can find some mug to stand and probably self-fund losing their deposit.

He got thrown out of Reform didn't he? **** knows what for, buggering a horse while dressed as Hitler possibly.

Opened Twitter and the first thing on my feed is the Spanish PM giving a speech about why Spain isn’t in Eurovision. The world is mental.

When I was watching the other day I did think he looked a bit like a newly elected Reform councillor. Glad he can stay focussed on the day job.

I'm not sure how many followers his onlyfans account has got, but you'd think you'd be able to count them on one hand
