I have seen the letter but can't see it published anywhere yet, I saw it on TV so can't paste it up. Apart from the script written above (prev page).
Fairest thing to do is replay the whole documentary including his full speech(s) unedited and unambiguous - but also include an addendum showing the subsequent Presidential pardoning of every rioter that broke into the capitol building and battered the police and state security guarding the politicians ... after all, would be 'misleading' not to include Trump's obvious high regard for democracy and 'peaceful' protest ...
A footnote to this programme would be the fundraising, now FBI leader Kash Patel did, to raise money for legal defence of the rioters.
Tax payers money, well except for those that don't pay their required taxes, eh Piskie. I keep hearing it's an organisation renowned and respected around the world, well that's ok then get those people that think that to subscribe to watch it. If it's that great their profits will soar. Any other media company has to earn it's viewers, if they don't perform how people like, then they lose viewers and lose money. The BBC still gets paid whatever happens and that's not fair either, especially when those not interested in what they have to say are lawabiding citizens who are required by law to pay for this service, just because I watch other broadcasters live feeds. It's time to scrap this nonsense, if you and Fosse really think it's a great organisation, then you guys can and should pay for it.
No you ****ing don't, you don't pay the BBC stealth tax. I'll be sending you and Fosse my bill for compensation.
Oh that one lol. You know what. I didn’t even realise you need one to watch Amazon prime or live TV on other platforms etc until the other day. How do they justify that ? It’s like saying, because you shop at Sainsbury’s you need to pay Tesco for stocking similar items. I’ll have a word with Fosse and we’ll organise a jumble sale or something.
Personally, I'm rather sceptical about near enough every 'source' of news ... but that doesn't invalidate every report or story, especially where a broadcast is live, or a report factually reports words or comments made by individuals in a public space ... Whether we should be paying a TV Licence fee in this day and age is a rather different question... I recall a comment / quote I once included in a Sociology essay ... to paraphrase Lord Reith (first Director General of the BBC) once said "The BBC is for the people" - the Government is also 'for the people' - so does it not also follow that the BBC is for the Government? I was much more of a rebel back then! Freedom For Tooting!!!!
@Libby and @Star of David Bardsley are some of the other offenders. They can come and help out at the fundraiser too
I'll return it ... with a counter bill for a mug of Hot Chocolate (with marshmallows) a slice of Lemon Drizzle cake and last week's Radio Times
The whole issue of the license fee is going to come into sharp focus now. And rightly so. The BBC revenue is from various avenues, including programmes that they make and sell to other broadcasters etc, so they aren’t entirely funded by the licence fee. Obvs abolishing it would leave a severe dent in their finances and theyd have to go down the commercial advertising revenue stream like ITV and Sky etc. The beeb has always been immune from that, but ads are everywhere now. Would it be such a tragedy ?
Yeah that one bro....I tried to look the other day to get out of it, but the more I looked into it the deeper the hole got. Bunch of thieving bastards. It makes no sense to me, if they are as great as they allude to be, then they are missing a trick, they should be rolling in it and Donald Ducks one billion dollar claim would seem like lose change. They'll probably wait until I pop my clogs and in celebration cancel the licence fee for all. As for the jumble sale bro, you already buy secondhand, you will be selling thirdhand, I'm not that ****ing desperate.
I have a wonderful pair of Nike Pegasus goretex in size 12, just ready for the winter months. Lightly worn by me and the person I bought them off
Used to love us getting the Xmas version (TV Times too) when I was a kid - only way to plot the Xmas films back then ... games gone ...
