I think Kamala Harris is on record saying that both amendments are sacrosanct, so I would imagine most dems wouldn’t be interested in signing an Elon Musk / Trump backed petition saying the same thing. The money is an incentive to get republicans who either aren’t registered or might not go out and vote, to vote Trump, and the free speech and gun rights book is something that the GOP have tried to claim would be under threat under the Dems It was completely unsurprising that the first winner of the $1m cheque was wearing a Trump/Vance t shirt lol

Aye, Elon, like most rich people, probably, in the past, espoused left wing rhetoric because they felt that, as a person of interest, they had to do so, in order to keep from being victimised. There’s a cohort of billionaires that donate to Trump. They’ve got a vested interest in deregulation, low taxation and conditions favourable to maintaining their wealth. Musk tried to hide a lot of his donations through ‘dark money’ routes up until he outed himself as a fully fledged Trump fluffer But yeah, the man has enough money to pay his fair share and still have more than the GDP of several small nations in his bank account.
I agree with free speech. People should be allowed to air their opinions. As long as it’s not causing actual harm to anybody.
