Ehab is using an outdated, lazy excuse for the supposed lack of interest from buyers. The Allams bought a Championship club. Case rested.
I'll give it a read later if you don't mind? Investment in the City and surrounding area has grown since the Siemens deal was reached and a lot of the current business that are coming to hull are linked in a way to Siemens, health and schools has seen a lot of investment over the last 6/7yrs in the area but as far as big industrial investment that isn't either current hull based companies expanding (reckons for example and Arco next year) or ones moving to new premises ( like the new development next to humber bridge roundabout) there isn't any new to city builds
the best part for me is the bit about our playing philosophy, So Ehab what is it? A) I cant give our trade secret away!!! GTF we havent got one any clown can see that, what planet is he on
This is a decoy thrown up by Ehab Allam. His asking price is too high - that's why people don't buy the club. What a shame Phil Buckingham didn't ask him why we get smaller crowds now than before his family got involved with the club, given that the team has been at a higher level than ever before ? Just how can it be that we get bigger gates against the likes of Walsall and Swindon in League 1 under Adam Pearson than against the smaller clubs in the PL? How come his marketing expertise and his new ideas have emptied a stadium rather than fill it? He has been unable to sell PL football to fans with no competition for 90 miles, nor attract decent sponsorship, nor sell the club to buyers, and has presided over a dramatic fall in the value of the club as well as all the other fails listed above. A truly deluded and mendacious individual who continues to tarnish the club with his spiteful antics.
Really? Glyn Hodges will make him a much better player? I think Ehab is right on this, he's only 18, 2.5 years younger than Bowen and should have done a full season with us, his home town club. I hate Stoke.
Yes I don't understand why there is a whole article on Tymon either , makes me think Ehab knows he messed up there if anything
Good call Newland, there's been lots of toing and froing between 'parties' on here re. the Tymon move, nobody but Tymon and his family know the full story but, methinks the Allam boy doth protest too much for it to be anything but a monumental **** up on his part.
Agree with this, although I'm not that bothered by Stoke. I'm not sure whether Tymon will regret it as he's clearly motivated by money and he's reportedly earning 7k p/w for five years. Even if he bombs, which he might well do, unless he's stupid as, that'll set him up nicely. Football wise, my gut feeling is that he won't make it and as ridiculous as it sounds, if we get 750-1m compo for him, it could end up being a great deal for the club - strange as that might sound now.
No he isn't right at all. It's a stupid, outdated claim that he's using as a smokescreen. There is absolutely no shortage of people wanting to buy the club.
I expect that we'll get more compo than that, probably double that amount, though them not giving him a league appearance yet may limit it. If he does actually get in the team, he'll be earning a hell of a lot more than £7k a week.
You seriously have problems....your dislike for the allams is really making you look daft here.......not once did I say there isn't people looking to buy the club! I said he was rite, which he is, about people not wanting to invest in the area!!!! You hate him we all know that and we all get it, I don't like the guy either! But seriously, stop making yourself look stupid!
Unless I am mistaken, aren't they looking at a new cruise terminal. Is that not investing in the area?
I remember the old tribunals (pre Bosman) could be quite bizarre at times. In recent years, I suppose Blackpool could argue that Tom Ince was under-valued too.
Yes they are "looking" again though isn't that going to be council funded? Just like all the schools and health care investments....its council or government funded! Private investment is not that great in hull at all compared to other large cities in the UK. I work in the construction industry all over the UK and other countries within projects with a 5m+ min price tag so see huge investment in cities and the Siemens is the largest I've been involved with in hull. Which everyway you cut it or try and mask it.....hull for private investment isn't that attractive
Buying a football club, presumably with the aim of getting it back to the Premier League, isn't really investing in the area it's investing in a football club that has the potential to operate on a global scale. As that's the case, Ehab's comments are bollocks, there's been plenty of interest in buying the club (A Chinese investor is about to pay £20m for League One Wigan Athletic). There's also been more investment in Hull in the past few years, than there was in the previous few decades, it's quite obviously on the up.
So. 2 questions arise from this. 1) Why is P Buckingham called a journalist when he cannot do a proper job? 2) Do more people think Prefab (thanks Barchullona) is a waste of a life on earth after hearing his latest drivel?
He could end up playing Premier League football for 3, 4 or 5 seasons with Stoke City under a settled manager and a club that doesn't have to sell to make up for lost supporters. If Tymon takes his opportunities he will end up a better player. If he doesn't, or he's not good enough, he'll have 5 years at £7,000 per week. The alternative was staying with Hull City under the Allams on a two year contract, maybe 3, for a lot less money.
