Josh Tymon made a mistake in joining Stoke City, says Hull City chief Hull-born defender remained in the Premier League when joining the Potters on a five-year deal in July http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/josh-tymon-made-mistake-joining-642259
Of cause we don't know the figures, but on a purely footballing perspective I think Ehab is right on this one, he would have probably been better of staying, playing regularly , and his big chance would have come along. Chances are if you try to step up too quickly, then your career can stall.
Has this one already been posted? EDIT it has, ignore me Ehab has 90% of fans on his side?!?!?!? http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/exclusive-ehab-allam-qa-part-641291.amp
Tymon went to a better run club that offered him a longer contract and more money. The playing staff are better than ours he will, if he takes the opportunity, become a much better player.
Still lots of questions, why an article purely on Tymon when it should address what's happened to the defence as a whole? Why depending on loans two seasons in a row and having small squad? Why wasn't transfer activity conducted quicker like he said he would and why hasn't he shown the ambition he said he would?
He's right about Tymon but something doesn't add up here. He says there's a standard contract for academy players and he wasn't willing to break that (not necessarily a bad thing) but then offered Tymon two contracts. Again these are details enough people will actually know about so unlikely to come out full of ****.
We had to get Bowen off that academy deal and on to a decent one as soon as he started playing regularly, we didn't do the same for Tymon, if we had, he'd still be here. The Tymon thing's been done to death on here already.
The way I read it there's a standard first pro contract for anyone stepping out of the academy. Bowen signed his pro deal last year before ever making a senior appearance, so it ties in with what ehaw once said about first trying to get Tymon on pro terms a long long time ago.
My feeling about this interview, on one hand it shows what a fool he is to anyone reading it, and on the other hand, it gives him a platform to spout off which he love's to do, the one thing that comes through for me in the interview is the fact and i believe him, that he's prepared to run the club into the ground out of spite to get his own way,and what i find very sad is "what could have been" i only think it will get worse as more fans drift away, i actually think he's enjoying himself doing this.
Bowen signed his first pro-deal on 7th Nov 2016, he'd already made first team appearances on Aug 23rd in the cup and 29th October in the Premier League, he subsequently signed an improved deal on 7th November 2017. Tymon played two just cup games in the 2015/16 season, then played in the same cup game as Bowen in the 2016/17 season and actually made his Premier League debut later, on 19th November 2017. Though obviously Tymon got much more game time last season and got his England call-up.
It is such a shame that playing wise we have had arguably our must successful period under their stewardship.. sadly what the halfwit fails to realise is that during this period their petty sqablles firstly with the HCC and latterly their pig headed attitude towards their manipulative and often repulsive running of the club has soured any good feeling towards them by the supporters. They live in their own ivory tower where they feel their decisions are beyond questioning and anyone who does so should be sent to the salt mines for having the nerve to suggest they may be wrong. Ehab is the epitome of an egotist .. he loves the attention .. he will not relinquish his position at the helm as it would have a negative effect on his limelight in the press. The talk of us being in an undesirable area is laughable .. and only being a sought after asset while in the Premier League is total tosh. Numerous clubs outside of the so called elite league have interested parties looking to purchase them. The key factor in there being interest in us that dissipates is the Allam family and their unwillingness to sell coupled with their greed.
I can just imagine Ehab's sales patter to prospective buyers: "Hull is a ****hole, the Council are liars and cheats and the fans are an ungrateful set of paupers"
How ever much we all hate ehab, he is rite on the undesirable area bit, people, business and investors just don't want to come here! It isn't an attractive place to put down business routes....the transport in and out the city is piss poor, public transport is piss poor, it's out on a limb etc.... It's just not a easy place to get people to invest in!!
Funnily enough, I've just written an article about this topic (http://www.fdiintelligence.com/Loca...d-investment-are-resurrecting-an-English-city). Plenty of people are investing in Hull of late, though how that affects the attractiveness of Hull City I don't know. We had buyers lined up the last time we were in the Championship - one through Paul Duffen, one through Adam Pearson. Both were willing to buy even if we didn't go up.
