It's horrific mate.

I'm OK with 'grit yer teeth' ailments but you can't fight a loss of balance.

The good news is that, for the first time in 3 days, the room has stopped spinning so I don't feel sick.

I still have to cling to the walls but I can't afford to fall over ...
... if I did Mrs Smug would be like those people who try to get a whale back into the water <laugh>

Back in the 80's my Dad was diagnosed with this and at the outset commented to the Dr that it was always worse on the way to the pub than it was on the way back. The Dr genuinely recommended to him that he made sure that he had a few tinnies in the house before he went out in that case - he was delighted with this but gutted he couldn't then get them on prescription!!!
I should mention that this was the same Dr who recommended to him to have a glass of port before and after every meal to help with a stomach complaint he had.
We did live in Wallsend at the time mind!!

This may be a bit sad but I am genuinely getting nervous about tonight. I was born in January 1974 and my one wish would be to see us win a trophy at Wembley. It may not be the competition one hoped it would be but we are where we are. Would be gutted if we didn't make it after tonight's game. Saying that I am pretty confident but once the game starts who knows.

I've got to be honest, I'm still not feeling any love for this competition. It's all a bit, meh!

I get that. Unless we win tonight. I did go to the Stoke game then haven’t bothered since so will feel almost fraudulent if we go Wembley..
I went to every home game in the competition. I think I'm fairly close in saying we are the best followed club the competition has had (average crowd wise) and we're taking more to Bristol tonight than the mags had at their home game earlier in the competition!

I feel the competition. I'm 43 so have never seen us win any knock out trophy. This one would be great if we could do it top me and I'll be disappointed if we get knocked ou tonight or lose the final (even though I can't go to the final!!)

Edit: We are the best supported club this competition has ever had - next nearest averages 10000 less than us!!

OK so it's not the FA or League cup - but it's realistically the only knock out trophy we could win this season. To do that and get promotion would be my favourite season for a long long time!

I’d live to see us win anything at Wembley mate, on the day the feeling will be the same whatever it is.

I have been interested and wanted us to keep going, it just hasn’t had me enough to go all the games.

I will be disappointed if we don’t get through tonight for sure.

I have been to Wembley for every cup final for 50 years... but I am ambivalent about this one.

Well, my one and only appearance was the 1990 play off final and that was a dreadful afternoon. I need a fix and I don't care what competition it happens to be.

Ah but remember Martin Scott? Absolute beast on pens and a LB.
Didn't he step up at Millwall after we missed about 287 penalties, in a row? I vividly remember him burying one against the mags.

I know mate, but its Wembley. It may never happen again....
Wembley will happen, again. We've been 5 times in the last 34 year.

I don't know what it is, I just can't get excited about this cup. It's just a reserve cup, we've only been putting half arsed sides out. If we get to Wembley I might feel different. Doubt it like.
