It's alarming but at the same time lots of places will be nowhere as crowded as the places (mostly in London, Manchester) they show on the news. I guess we'll find out in 3 or 4 weeks time if they all turn up at A&E coughing their heads off.I watched the 1:00 p.m. BBC1 News earlier, and they had a couple of minutes or so of footage of several pubs with outside service and showed the lineups outside shops in various spots in London I presume?
It appeared to me that there were many a group of up to 8 people sitting at the same table supping together, basically shoulder-to-shoulder, no masks and only a yard away from the people sitting opposite. Hardly anyone over the 35-40 age group. All the ones who haven't been vaccinated yet.
Get a couple of punters who are carrying the virus among 'em, despite being outside with a slight breeze, surely the bloody thing will spread like wildfire? Puzzling rules/controls if you ask me!
I've got my second jab in a fortnight so I'm (mostly) staying at home until then. Hopefully things might have settled a bit by then so I'll have a few outings.
