can hardly blame you.. I was a bit shocked when Kewell joined them since he was playing for Leeds at the time of those murders..

Got screwed twice by Kewell, we only actually (allegedly) received a couple of million for him as a huge chunk of the transfer went to kewell and his agent. Then the Turkish thing...

I was living in Izmir & some of us ex-pats watched the match at a friend's house, after the game I got surrounded by some locals at a bus stop asking "Are you English?", very scary.. told them I was Australian.. thankfully my wife was with me and she backed up my story.. for a while it was a bit tense in Turkey being English..

When Leeds came back to Turkey to play Besiktas (the following season?) things had calmed down and I made a point of openly supporting Leeds when I watched the game with my Turkish brother in law just to piss them off! When things like that have happened Yorkshire is Yorkshire mate..

Yorkshire is Yorkshire, England is England. I wouldn't leave any English (British) guy to get a kick in at the hands of psychotic turks

My ex-wife who's Turkish came from a Galatasaray supporting family..

My bro-in-law is a Man U fan but his eldest son who's 8 now says he supports Hull City (like his uncle!) so I think I'm winning the battle.. result :)

haha all my family are Man U fans except me and my nephew who weirdly enough is 8 he says the same that he supports hull like me but i think thats also cause he gets **** off kids from school for not supporting his home team! my brother not happy about him not been man u its funny as hell he gets really wound up as he is a die hard season ticket holder haha

Well since I live in Nottingham, this has happened in nearly all my relationships. Thankfully, few women I have met have been that serious about football, so I've managed to get them to become at least semi-interested in Leicester.

In fact, I've been out with Reading, QPR, Forest, Barnsley, Man U (guess what, not from Manchester!) and Sheff Wed "fans", and it's never really been an issue.

Tread lightly, this post is on the Leeds board... I hope you disowned your ex wifes family. Despite how much you probably hate Leeds, Galatasaray are dirty, filthy scum and are the bane of football.

Edit: seen the "yorkshire is yorkshire" post. Nice to see a fan of a club that famously hates Leeds still seeing right from wrong.

Wonder what would happen if an English team were to meet a Turkish team at an airport gestering they were going to get their throats slit

Yeah - they all told you to **** off when you told them you supported Festa :emoticon-0118-yawn:

Wife is a Reading fan so not really a rival but enjoy the banter when we play each other. The fun part tho is her old man is a hammer and i converted his son to Millwall <cheers>

I think famously hating Leeds and knowing right from wrong, are very much the same thing ;)

Did you converted your brother in law, or just cock up that post? <whistle>

Converted my brother in law, first time I met him he was wearing a shammers shirt. Now he's seen the light. Father in law still gets wound up now when he see's him in shirt and tomorrow is going to be excellent. Me and brother in law in the CBL and father in law in the away end!

Bang and boot! And carve "LCFC" into her back with your nails! "End" on her chest in the shape of LCFC! F**k it, tear her v-jayjay in the club crest!! Turn her into a a walking promotion for the club!!!!!!!
