Get them to email you your pass, then simply paint the QR code carefully onto a piece of slate, varnish it and keep it in your pocket (not the one with the pocket watch in it, you don’t want to damage that). Should work fine at the turnstiles
They can, but most things aren’t saved on your actual phone (photos and your notes maybe) They’re somewhere else and accessible by logging on via the internet. I do get the reticence. Online banking is a worry, but then again you can have a physical bank card cloned and your account accessed (mine was, although the bank stopped it before I even knew so I’ve no idea how much they got away with because they simply put it right without me seeing anything change) I do use phone tech a fair bit it to make my life easier, but then stuff like Chat GPT I leave well alone because I don’t need it. As someone else said I stopped lots of social media too (apart from this one!)
My worry is it doesn't and we're stuck arguing with an ever decreasing number of people as we all die off.
Careful, he'll pin the blame on you, I've seen that film. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
True I used to print too as a back up, but that hasn’t happened so I never bother now. Also I’m usually flying with Mrs Tash too so just make sure we have both tickets on both phones so worse case you can just share one phone for it. Not perfect I know, although you can always get printed at the airport if needed Thinking about doing the same with City passes (not putting them on Mrs Tash phone, but sharing with the group we go with. Someone’s phone dies then at least someone will have them all on theirs to pass back and use)
If I think my phone might run out I just take a power bank with me I’m like the SAS Prepared for anything
If you're flying and you forget to charge your phone with your boarding pass on it and don't have a charger cable with you, then you're the sort of idiot that may well forget their passport, or turn up on the wrong day.
what about those of us still using an iphone 6, cos they are too tight to buy a new one even though the battery can die anywhere between 40 and 60% , and it has to be sat at a certain angle for the charger to work...
