Ticket office still sending emails about downloading my digital ticket....When I HAVE NOTHING to download it to....I explained all this to them when I went into the ticket office to purchase a season ticket. ....Head banging against a wall time...Waiting for my CARD IN POST...
Apparently Wednesday charge £10 more if you want a physical pass on top of their already high season ticket prices.
We maybe will start doing that for new members? I assume people already with passes can keep using theirs Tbh it’s not making much difference to me. I used to forget my physical card so often anyway that I had a photo of the barcode saved in my phone and just scanned in with that instead Ahead of the tech revolution
They'll be automatically sending it to everybody They'll be phasing out physical cards in a season or 2 , and no I don't want it on my phone either
I've got a cheap ****ty £100 Motorola as a smartphone as too tight to buy a proper functioning one (I'd probably go back to an old school Nokia, if it wasn't for WhatsApp and banking apps). The screen is such bad quality that to use my shopping app in the food shop I use, I have to have a print out of the QR type of code that uploads my payment and membership details.. could you not do the same with the online card, if it's a problem to have it on your phone?
Took my wife’s 15 year old Nokia out the drawer , charged it up , all the texts were there and pics , they were great phones but I suppose limited now unless you want privacy !
Apparently existing pass holders are charged if they don’t want to embrace the technological revolution. Just been reading their fan site, a Wednesday fan I know said to ohave a look to see all the **** going on there it is unbelieveable. They have sold 7,000 season tickets for the stand that can’t be used so are going to have to reallocate some into the Kop, where the cost is less and some into the best stand where tickets are more expensive. No one knows if some will get refunds and others will have to pay more. Family groups won’t be able to sit together as there aren’t the amount of seats. Due to Wednesday’s pricing structure a lot were bought last December as you get a discount. £100 more if you pay in March in side stand and £150 more, up from £630 to £780 in best stand. You can see how this will cause problems. And we have fans complaining our prices are high. Another not very popular thing is they are putting disabled fans in an extended section in the area for disabled away fans. Older ones shifted to best stand will not be happy as it is a heck of a lot of stairs to the higher tier and they don’t operate the lifts on match days as it only goes up to the corporate catering level and they don’t want the riff raff getting out there and the elite having to mix with them. As the Wednesday fan I know said to me, City look like a beacon of good governance compared to them
I was actually thinking of getting rid of my 'smartphone' , not sure if I could though I've got rid of a load of apps though and spend far less time scrolling through ****e
It’s a shame, but so much easier in airports etc than printing off tickets when you can have them saved in a phone.
Modern tech is great for those who know what they're doing.. But what happens if your phone is damaged, doesn't work, stolen.....I guess you're fecked...
I'm young enough to know what I'm doing with it, just don't like the idea of everything I need being on a machine that can easily break
Can they be hacked? As in someone can hack into a main server and steal God knows what.....I guess they can hack into a phone and steal the data, or even demand a ransom to get the data back....Just one reason why I don't want a posh phone...
You can just log onto someone else’s phone and access it all that way. I’m not saying you should start using a smartphone, I’m just saying that whether we like it or not most things are easier if you do
I like that DBT...'Most things'...Maybe I'm just a luddite. I guess my doctor might have a cream for it!
