My last visit was in 1973, forget what game it was.Scoring the winning goal at Wembley in your last game would be perfect. I personally don't want to go anywhere near that place again.

What I liked about Ross was the way he galvanised the team straight away. We'd come down with a whimper, defeatist attitudes everywhere around the club (including the fans - we were all rock bottom), but within a couple of weeks there seemed to be team spirit and camaraderie. Obviously it all fell apart, but he had a tough job from the outset. Parkinson and then Johnson should have been able to build on what they had.
