After reading this entire thread it seems like a frustated post about our players

Time for another Taraabt thread then eh?

Lads, we are 3 point off top and in 3rd place. I honestly had us down for mid table this year with an outside chance of play-offs. Seen a bit to made me more positives but we need a TEAM and we need 2 strikers. We all knew this pre season & whilst Austin was a great buy, half his goals are penalties so he hasnt exactly been prolific.
We've played badly and won this season, now we're playing badly & losing.
I stil believe we'll make the play offs, only because there are so many bad teams in this league, but I still believe those that said we'd walk this league because of our players are deluded.
Problem is, so much of our future revolves around us going up this year, the stadium, the academy, training grounds and more. thats why we got Harry " the best manager in the country (apparently).
Harry now has to earn his wage in the transfer window & he'll be judged on it.

I for one wouldnt have minded us kicking out the players living on thier names & bringing in our youth players to play alongside some of our seniors for a couple of years. Had Ned the captains armband and get the average age of the team below 30. If not then why the F do we have youth system?

Anyway, lets see what happens over the next couple of games and when we get into the window....Its gonna be intresting...

Reality check!! Calm down people, it's nearly half way through the season and we are three points off the top, yes we have been poor the last few games, no we haven't been firing on all cylinders yet but we are still in touch and the transfer window is due to open, we only have one fit(currently not) striker and the board know this, we won't get messi but hopefully we will get someone half decent. Most of you moaners had us down for mid table in the pre season and would have bitten my hand off if I offered you where we are now, we are Qpr and we never do it the easy way, try and get behind the team instead of on their backs and the players might even give a s@*t, with the attitude of the fans at the moment it's no wonder the way they play!

In midfield the only consistent player has been Barton, Ale is a loss & need a suitable replacement (maybe Yossi can fill the role), O'neil should be a sub not a regular, Jenas does nothing, Kranky, Carroll, Hoilett, Phillips are to do date to inconsistent.
In attack we've lacked cover/partner to go with Austin who's done well, really can't see BZ doing anything so need 1 or 2 to come in January

Having reflected on this dreadful performance for a while, I still think there's hope left of automatic promotion. If HR can integrate some of our youth squad into the mix, as well as jettison some of the more woeful members of the squad - Henry and O'Neill, in particular (both have had their better moments, but I think they've peaked now) - we still have a fantastic chance of gaining promotion.

I totally agree. After his performance at Blackpool, I was very surprised when he didn't start against Leicester; and even more surprised when we were exposed for pace in that match and Redknapp didn't react to it tonight.

I was surprised at how good Reading's squad is. Think they're the side to look out for. They gave us a much tighter game than you did last week.

You're absolutely deluded man. All match reports/FLS show highlights etc talk about QPR dominating Leicester. You're in a little bubble detatched from reality, even your manager knew we should've been out of sight by half time.

I listened to the Leicester V Reading game today, and Reading were poor, Leicester practically rampant. Leicester had two shots on target Vs QPR, and none in the 2nd half. Watch the FLS highlights again.

Reading have a good squad, but they're terrible at the moment. Upheaval at the very top of the club, Oman investors about to come in. I don't see where their next win is coming from


Edit: I mean Christ... Leicester's goal was from a massive Schmeichel punt upfield completely against the run of play, an absolute sucker punch. The only other chance created (I'm excluding the jammy deflection), was Dyer's miss. At the time, I thought we were lucky he shanked it. You know what, we weren't lucky- the man can't shoot for toffee, he's got an average of 1 in 10 for Leicester, and missed a load of sitters V Reading today. If he could hit a barndoor he'd be a premier league player with all the chances his pace provides him.

Repeat ad nauseum. At what point has anyone in the world said Leicester were the better side, apart from AKCJ? Sounds to me like the press thought it was a smash and grab, in which qpr dominated the 1st half, and the 2nd half was more even because leicester put 11 men behind the ball (and had no shots on target). The Benayoun shout should've been a penalty, though i'll admit the others weren't. Leicester were again lucky they didn't end simpsons career, and lucky they could sit back for the final 10 mins V 10 men.

FLS re Leicester: "Manish- bit of irony because of course they dominated the first half against Burnley last week, didn't have much to show for it. This time however, under the cosh for much of the game, but they only had two chances on goal...and put one of them away!" "Claridge- Yeh (then talks about Vardy)"

I'm going to give this one up now, because AKCJ seems a smart enough bloke- so I can't imagine he genuinely believes what he's saying, and is surely just trying to get a rise. Rest assured i'll be looking forward to a few future visits to the Leicester board this season though.

What we wanted (want) was a manager who was committed to us for the medium term at least. Some stability. We wanted a manager who could work with what he had - build a successful youth team - someone like Ferguson years and years ago at Man U when he started a new team of youngsters and everyone said that he was mad. We wanted a manager - maybe like Mclaren who had a point to prove and could work with a great Chairman. What we have in Harry is a wheeler - not a tactician and not a motivator. He's signed biggish names over youth - which we fear as we are scared by Hughes. We see a team that we fear will struggle and get replaced with new 'big' names should we go up. I think we want the model of Swansea / Norwich to have a good solid team 0 entertaining football and then to build to trophies. I think the critisism of us fans to be fickle is harsh by DT. We are QPR fans - we have seen all sorts of dross over the years - we are still here - not for the trophies - but for the odd sparkle of a quirky no 10 and I think we fear a repeat of recent past mistakes and that Harry is shallow.

As I understand it; he reached the end of his 3 month loan period.

In summary, poor timing. Nothing more than that.

Don't forget the 14 or so players out of contract in the summer so we will need to buy 60% of a whole squad yet again.

Its soul destroying stuff watching redknapp screw us up both on and off the pitch. He's one ofthe worst ever managers we've had when you take into account that her one of the top 20 highest paid managers in the world, he gets more than the manager of Spain.

Players that are going to be out of contract at the end of the season will be players already signed before 'Arry's arrival (and mostly players that people keep complaining about). I may not be 100% convinced by 'Arry (though I back him as our manager 100%), but I recognise that he is trying to reshape the team with new and 'old' - and that can't be done overnight with what we have.
Still a long way to go, a poor run that has to end soon. We should be pulling away from the pack and have at least a 3-4 point gap; but we don't, so better pull up our socks and roll up our sleeves and get on with it. Show some of that class boys and get on with the job!!

We were solid against you lot. I didn't feel like we were going to concede, other than a few heart attack moments when some of your players disgracefully threw themselves about in our penalty area.

It wasnt a loan, it was a permanent signing so we could have signed him for however long we wanted.

Share your frustration, Col. Last night was a reality check. We are not a cert for automatic promotion. Obviously, we felt the loss of Barton and Austin, and the latter's injury and Zamora shoved on in the first half, shows our exposure on the striker front going forward into the second half of the season. Expect a loan signing soon, although I imagine choices will be limited in the Jan window. Still believe we can get back on track.
