Call me foolish, but I think today is probably twice as hard for Pardew as it is for us.

Imagine your job and your credibility hanging of the outcome of today's trading.
 
NUFC.com think we are trying to bring in one 'wide player' (bringing Viduka back?!) today - from overseas, so not Ince. They believe that this is not dependent upon selling Cabaye.

Doubt we'll push anything through, but I'm hoping it's Ayew and the transfer is just waiting on Thauvin to Marseille.

I think he already knows what happens today. TOMORROW is when it becomes difficult for Pardew.

He might as well have set the expectancy right. He MUST know that we're gonna do fck all. I cannot believe he's lied to, no matter how much of a fcking nobhead Kinnear is. Yet every week since May he's more or less said we NEED 2, 3 would be nice. All first team players. Since then we've shipped Perch, Simpson and Harper to babysit Remy for QPR to return. Our net spend is around £300k, which is probably what Ashley picked up in personal interest alone since I woke up this morning. We received £60m from Sky/BT, some of which I guess then went to deferred payments for the January influx. Even so, the club should have around £40m at its' disposal. It is simply not right that Mike Ashley can take money away from the club - Mike Ashley was not given £60m, NUFC was. Mike Ashley didn't sell Andy Carroll, NUFC did. Mike Ashley didn't sell 50,000 tickets for every home match, Wonga aren't sponsoring Mike Ashley, Puma don't make Mike Ashley kits, the fans don't pay for Mike Ashley merchandise. So how, in the name of all that's right in the world, does this fat koont get to take out whatever the fck he wants???? It's just not HIS money.

NUFC.com reported "two imminent signings". That was a fortnight ago.

He owns the club, therefore it's his money and not the money of NUFC. Not nice to hear but have to face facts I'm afraid.

Well we'll never know, but I think Pardew doesn't know. I imagine the conversations go:

"Mike, Joe, I NEED at least 3 players."

"Okay Alan, we'll do our best. We're talking to lots of people. We should be able to get them in if we can get the right deal."

"That's great but that's what you said last summer. It's really desperate now."

"Don't be such a nag Alan. You're getting on my tits. I've told you we'll do what we can."

And then he checks the NOT606 board (porbably under the user name 2010tops) to see what's happening, just like the rest of us.

Perhaps all the nearer to get Demba Ba into the back of that three wheeler. And whilst they're at it, they can pop down to Upton Park and grab Carroll.

I don't know why I am bothering to hang onto the transfer news; I know what's going to happen and it's not going to be anything positive. I think that I will amuse myself by shifting a ton of firewood for winter.
