Brady?? But i agree I dont mind them bombing on if Mckenna is playing in the hole and can cover them.

i think they'll show more caution in league games but it's a fantastic asset having 2 flying fullbacks. it's weapons like them that can help us dominate games and have periods of sustained pressure, especially at home!

By all accounts Brady isn't fussed getting into a tackle and covered Dudgeon at times when he got forward on saturday, I dont mean him to stay back when Dudgeon goes forward but when he is back he'll do ok covering for him

Ayala signing for Hull City has never been in doubt. What i am more interested in now is who are the others that are on the cards Once Bullard is SACKED ?

Glenn Johnson is on his way back from injury, as is Agger and Skirtel. Plus Johnson will now be used as attacking wing back after the superby performances of teh boy Kelly. There was a number of players that Liverpool could not play.

They have also said that they will Cut a number of squad players to raise funds. On the back of saturdays programme
Liverpool had 42 players listed. Thats one heck of a wage bill.

SPOT ON MATE. I agree with that and from whats been seen so far it wont be long before it happens.
Awsome back line with great attacking options.

Dudgeon and Brady for sure work so well on the left. Can Stewart (when fit) work the same on the right with Rosie ?

Heard the name Darren Ambrose again mentioned on saturday. But whats the story on that lad from Southend ?

Yes. On facebook and twitter. Also Barnsley, Pompey, Derby looking at him. Forget his name but highly rated though.
    Black kid. Plays midfield.

Anthony Grant his name is, not that highly rated tbh, he's done alright from what i have seen and being told by Southend fans, nothing more, seems like a bit of lazy journalism, i think this is a no go from the start.

In that back 5 system which you are agreeing with, we wouldn't have enough places left to play with wingers, so that'd be no Brady or Stewart. Never going to happen.

    .....................Gulacsi
    .............Hobbs Ayala Chester
    Rosenior....................... Dudgeon
    ..............McKenna Koren
    Stewart..........................Brady
    ....................Fryatt

Anyway, I'm still to be convinced that we're after another CB.

    OK I'll rephrase that:

If you play with a back 5 like that you'd have to play one up front with the wingers getting forward no more than in a 4-4-2, or play with no wingers at all. The idea of a back 5 is just silly, especially when our back 4 has been so strong last season and we've been criticised for being too defensive <doh>

There's room for another CB in the squad, but we can't play more than 2 at a time.

the idea of wing backs is that theyre an attacking threat and youre more solid in the middle, you dont play wing backs with out and out wingers, i think too many people have been playing fifa.

If we were going to play with 5 at the back i would think it'd look something like this:

    .....................Gulacsi...................
    .............Hobbs Ayala Chester.........
    Rosenior.......................... Dudgeon
    ...................McKenna...................
    ........Evans..................Koren........
    .................................................
    ...............Fryatt Simpson..............

Personally i don't think NP would have bothered getting Brady in if he was planning on playing with wing backs and not wingers!

I hope we do get Ayala in, but i'll stick to trusting OLM and his source as they're usually right.

I'd lvoe to have Ayala back but from comments on here I don't think he will be back.

I still think you could play 5 at the back because both Stewart and Brady can play upfront instead of as wingers, so I'm led to believe, so you could have

    ......................Gulacsi

    ...........Ayala... Hobbs... Chester

    Rosenior ............................Dudgeon

    ...............McKenna Evans

    .........Stewart Fryatt Brady

    perhaps?

It's a pipe dream anyway since we won't be getting Ayala.

    Gulacsi
    Rosenior, Hobbs, Chester, Dudgeon
    Koren, McKenna, Evans/Caireny, Brady
    Fryatt, Simpson

looks like the starting line up for me (McShane for Hobbs if Hobbs is not fit).
