I'm nervous for Saturday but feel complacency will be our biggest threat. I'd take a last minute 1-0 win right now (not sure how the ticker would handle that tension, even at 26!) Just as the previous half a dozen home games, our support will be crucial.

Why ? What sort of week do you think they will have in Sunderland this week ? Relegated with four game to go, manager and players unsure of the future, feeling of failure and letting people down, thoughts of moving on, insecurity, self doubt, wanting the ground to open up and swallow them, massive disappointment around the town, blaming each other, finger pointing, shirking responsibility, nothing to play for.......training will be a barrel of laughs in the morning. Would you all sooner be playing a club with everything to play for on Saturday or one that's just been relegated ?
No fear. Turn up with the right attitude with the crowd behind us and the points are there for the taking.
Amen!!!!

Hadn't realised that Palarse play Citeh at 12.30 Saturday. .... the right result gives us extra incentive if any was needed...

A Liverpool win tonight will help us. The 2 Mancs clubs will have to raise their games in their final fixtures to vie for 4th place. That may well make Palace sweat even more...be nice to have 'em in our sights.
edit: FT Watford 0-1 Liverpool. Excellent.

We're all stewing over every detail of the games coming up to decipher our destiny, but the truth is there is no logic to games at this end of the season.
Who thought we would come back with 10 men to beat Watford or lose 3-1 at Stoke. Every match is almost a game of chance and although form and ability play a big part it's the unique circumstances on the day (basically luck) which decide results.

Whoever didn't think we would lose at Stoke was pretty delusional to be fair.

They're on 44 points.
Tony pulis not good enough a manager eh. Kinell.

Hang on, look at their squad. They've got a lot of decent players. After 20 games they were 1 point behind Everton and had a small chance of getting into Europe. However, now they're 14 points off them, have only taken 4 from their last 5 games and are 18th in the form table. Pulis' very good season is now starting to look bang average, there's no guarantee that they'll get a top half finish. The same issue is always there, Tony's side's are on the beach once they reach the 40 point mark. That's fine if your aim is to avoid relegation, but if you want to go further then he's not the right man for the job.

I've looked at their squad and also seen them up close when we played them. I thought they were ****e. How he's got them there is a ****ing miracle.

If you want to go further... **** me what a soft ****

Symmetry, we won our first away game of the season, and will win the last. We also won our first home game, so we'll win the final one, job done!

Must be awful having that Pulis bloke having you safe from relegation well before the season ends. How their fans must be longing for the excitement of going into the final couple of matches not knowing which division they will be in next season. The only people happy with this will be his employers.
