I think we need to thrash Sunderland at the KC and Silva to get his first away win at Palace to stay up.

That'll put us on 40 points and we'll bring 2 or 3 other teams back in the mix.
I thought we have a pretty good record at Palace ? I've been down there at least four times and have yet to see us loose there.
They are nothing special and if they only need a point to stay clear of relegation, and hopefully so do we, then bet your life that Allardyce will set his team up to do just that.

I completely agree - two win would see us safe. I'm trying not to be a pessimist - but I'm not sure I can see two...

I think 5 points would see us safe too - but that means relying on Spurs on the last day.

We're all stewing over every detail of the games coming up to decipher our destiny, but the truth is there is no logic to games at this end of the season.
Who thought we would come back with 10 men to beat Watford or lose 3-1 at Stoke. Every match is almost a game of chance and although form and ability play a big part it's the unique circumstances on the day (basically luck) which decide results.

Nail on head.

Who would have thought Palace could win at Liverpool and Chelsea batter arsenal at home then lose to Burnley.

Anything could happen.

You are absolutely right. I'm not a good person to be around at the end of a season. I stew easily...

Honestly, I think one win will be enough and anything else is a bonus. A 5 point gap before Swansea go to Everton would be huge.

We need to complete the small matter of winning a PL game in May first. Haven't in the four previous seasons in the top flight.

Anybody else ****ting their self for the Sunderland game already?

Feeling Defoe will come good and hurt us. Hope I'm wrong obviously but you know how these types of games have panned out in the past. On the flip side this season has been a real rollercoaster so who knows? In Marco we trust.

That's what I'm thinking. I keep having flashbacks to when he destroyed us with his hat trick for Spurs a few years ago.

Why ? What sort of week do you think they will have in Sunderland this week ? Relegated with four game to go, manager and players unsure of the future, feeling of failure and letting people down, thoughts of moving on, insecurity, self doubt, wanting the ground to open up and swallow them, massive disappointment around the town, blaming each other, finger pointing, shirking responsibility, nothing to play for.......training will be a barrel of laughs in the morning. Would you all sooner be playing a club with everything to play for on Saturday or one that's just been relegated ?
No fear. Turn up with the right attitude with the crowd behind us and the points are there for the taking.
