What's Ashley's end game here. Just trying to rinse them of more money? The land? Wasps are ****ed so what's a stadium without a team.

Jimmy Hill will be spinning in his grave.

If he is after the club then this is a great way to endear yourself to the fans

I have a friend who was a season card holder there when the stadium opened, he told me Coventry had to have 21000 attendances at games just to pay the rent to stadium owners which wouldn't have been an issue had they not go relegated from the Premier but couldn't get the crowds in the Championship.

I stayed overnight in the stadium once - it's a strange hotel set-up where the hospitality rooms used on match days are converted to bedrooms when there's no game. It's clever - everything packs away to become almost like a standard hotel room.
The only problem was that it was dark when I arrived and when I opened the curtains stark bollock naked in the morning in true Life Of Brian style, I didn't realise that the room overlooked the pitch. The groundsman had a bloody shock!
Anyway, it also has/had a very good casino underneath the stadium.

I used to stay at Upton Park 4 or 5 times a month which was the same. Went outside and sat in the stand one afternoon watching some blokes who had booked to play on the pitch weeks before it was ripped up and ended up getting asked to join in, had to wear some of my kit samples and a pair of very unsuitable trainers. Surprisingly given my fitness levels and footwear I was still better than some of them!!

Absolutely loved staying there, however I have no desire to stay at the stadium in Coventry (back on topic just in time).

Lol. I've done the exact same thing there.

i've visited the shopping area where the arena is. waterstones was good. everything about the stadium has been ridiculous.

Rammstein were brilliant there in June. There were reports that you could hear the gig in Nuneaton (about 10 miles away).

I knew quite a few people who went to that, apparently was brilliant. But Nuneaton town centre isn’t even 10 minutes from the Ricoh, let alone 10 miles, I would expect you probably could hear it.
