Only just had chance to come back to this.
I think Brennan is an interesting one. He obviously did very well at Lincoln, but I did notice that in the games we played against them, he was marked out of it quite effectively and quite easily. I watched a decent amount of Lincoln last year and for the most part, he ripped sides to shreds. It obviously benefitted him massively in the counter attacking style but it really impressed me how well he took to the loan. Loans really aren't easy, and as fans we only judge what goes on on the pitch, but it's also a young kid moving away from home and many really struggle with that (understandably). He was still very raw last year but you watch him now and he's much more refined. I think the experience of going on loan and growing up has helped him as much as the clearly better players at Forest. He's grown up quick, that's for sure.
Greaves is another interesting one. I just love his progression. He struggled at the start of the season quite a bit, especially with the physicality, pace and power of Championship forwards but he's so much better now and looking really classy. With defenders, you've got to throw into the mix that they develop later than forwards too. So a young kid playing 46 games in the championship when he's 20/21 is pretty much unheard-of. You get quality players like Nathan Collins playing 6 months and then leaving for 8 figures so it does put it into perspective. I get your point about playing defensively so it makes him look better, it probably does, but he's also been the senior figure really back there and that's far from ideal. It would've been great if he was the inexperienced one and along 2 more experienced CBs.
I thought Monday was just about the best I've seen KLP play in his cameo. He was positive, direct, and his decision making was excellent. He created 2 big chances, and they should both have been goals really. He couldn't have done more. I just like that level way more often
