You only have to watch his academy videos on YouTube to see how much he’s developed already. He was a in the box striker playing off the shoulder of the defender. Now he’s a tricky winger who supplies just as much as he provides. He wouldn’t have to do both in a better side. Bowen doesn’t score anywhere near as many goals for West Ham as he did for us but assists his teammates a lot more because he doesn’t have to do both like KLP probably does on the most part for us these days.What I would say is that obviously, Lee Carsley obviously see a player in him, Brentford are past masters at uncovering good talent, as are West Ham. I think they know a bit more about what they see in him than we probably do. IMO, he has been playing in a team that has struggled to supply the front players with enough quality balls to be able to create and score more goals. In a team, that has better providers in midfield, I think you will see a different player.
