It took him that long….?…. was it Clyde Best he mullered on the halfway line of an FA Cup match with West Ham when we were attacking… referee, linesman no one except about 40 thousand saw it…lol..

He was playing for Blackpool by then.

As they refer to us as the Mudrats, I don't give if a **** if they go up, stay down, or get relegated next season on zero points.
Worked there from 95-98, terrible times for a City supporter but great times for Town fans. I remember seething when colleagues took the piss as we spiralled ever further into despair, but reminded them calmly that form is temporary, class is permanent.

Their flaskers outside Wembley giving it the big one about being back where they belong.
Yeah, on the bottom rung of professional football in this country.

For rubber neckin’ reasons I occasionally look on The Fishy.

Last week they had a poll on our promotion and shockingly circa 25% of them wanted us to go up with the bulk vote going to not bothered either way.

Contradicts my experiences of their views on us.

Perhaps, the new generation (who have firmly been under our yoke and have known no different) of their fans respect the new order.

Think it more reflects the lack of Internet in Grimsby.

back in the day they had a good record against us and my Dad (RIP) said they're City's real derby..
I went to the GY v City Humber derby in 1966, one of my first away games as a lad and it was a proper derby game then. Packed ground, and I mean packed, loads of City fans there and the fixture was always GY's best home attendance.
We lost 1-0, Matt Tees.
Memorable to me.
The Green Sports Mail always used to big it up too. Huge banner headlines across the front page and a couple of action shots.

Yes welcome back GY....lost 3-1 at home to the Blunts who took 2,000 'boisterous' fans to the pre-season friendly today.
'Risk supporters' still at it even now, Cleethorpes getting a long overdue makeover.

Boisterous fans Let 's hope we never have any of those.

I was there that day, a tad disappointing to lose to the Cod heads
