Clattenberg is a fine, white, upstanding member of the FA establishment and a referee. Suarez is a greasy Dago from Latin America whom everyone hates apart from liverpool and Ajax fans, and his fellow Uruguayans, of all skin colours. When the FA need a head-on-a-stick to prove how anti-racist they are it's only logical they'd bend and twist their own rules to lynch Jonny Foreigner than sacrifice one of their own by judging him by the same standards.

Many said back last January the FA had set a standard they'd never keep up, and indeed they halved it for one former England captain, let another England captain off with just a fine and completely exonerated one of their own officials charged with the same offence and with the same amount of evidence as Suarez. This may have fended off the mob of rigid, single-interest firebrands and gutter sports journos in England (though given the rantings of Herbert and Roberts you wouldn't bank on it) but the rest of the world is laughing its cock off at us. And every inch they deviate from that template they set themselves there are many of us who won't hesitate to contrast their behaviours.

Mikel to be charged?Ramirez to be held to account? Don't bet on it - more likely that Suarez will be blamed for the whole fiasco.

that's just the point soft arse, he wsn't. They only evidence that Suarez said the word negro came from Suarez himself, even after he knew there was NO video evidence. Evra alleged he said something completely different - until the FA showed him Suarez's statement so that he'd change his evidence.

As you know swarbs, at no stage did Suarez admit to delberately winding evra up. When questioned intensively on why he thought his arm pinch was 'conciliatory' Suarez had to back down and admit he didn't really understand what the word conciliatory meant, and that his actions may have had the effect of antagonising Evra. He didn't admit to trying to wind evra up at all - just insisting that Evra was not 'untouchable'.
 
Couldn't give a flying one if Clattenberg is a racist or not, but considering all it took was for his fellow miked up officials to tell the FA on the day after the game that he never said what he was accused of why did the FA take 4 weeks to find he had no case to answer?

Two things for certain: Riley will make sure Clattenburg will get few Chelsea games, but he'll ****ing insist he refs United as often as pssible.
