The point DL is that first time round he had a spine of players who were winners - all of whom would be mentioned when discussing the best PL of the last 10 years and the best teams. Now the players who remain are older and less influential. There is no doubt Chelsea have a lot of talented players, but are they winners? And how will Mourinho handle it if they perform like last season when results like 8-0 v Villa and impressive wins at Stoke, Everton etc were interspersed with a 3-1 defeat at West Ham, a home defeat to QPR, sloppy defending for draws v Reading and Southampton. Will he still be cocky and sniggering? It might not be so smooth a ride this time.
