I think there’s a worrying trend now driven often by Twitter etcDon't worry too much, he's a **** anyway.
I think there’s a worrying trend now driven often by Twitter etc
For people to lose their jobs and livelihoods for something trivial
It wasn't even Twitter that set it all off, he used the word 'coloured' an MP asked if he'd like to apologise and change it; he apologised and gave the explanation why he used it and that should have been the end of it. The world's gone ****ing crazy.

It seems like there is a big difference between people of color and coloured people.
...what have you done now?...I think there’s a worrying trend now driven often by Twitter etc

The problem is, he managed to use words that could have caused offence to people of colour, but also LGBT people as well as women, in the same meeting.
For someone who is supposed to be in charge of an organisation hot on diversity, it’s really basic stuff and absolutely not good enough.
I think rather than having to leave because he caused offence, he had to resign because his position has become untenable. How can he work with diversity groups now?
But what about the rest of his job and responsibilities?
He may be vastly experienced, have excellent contacts throughout the game, and have put in decades of hard slog, seeing his organisation through many problematic times, securing great deals for his employers and their members..
Doesn't that count for owt?
I suppose it depends on your perspective and how much you value that over being able to open up the game at the grass roots.
My personal opinion is that I’d rather see someone who can work with more groups than the core football community, but I’m sure everyone’s thoughts will differ.
My thoughts are it's a pathetic cave-in by his employers who should have had the balls to withstand the Twitter pile on and the holier than thou Dan Roan.
If he was a **** boss and needed culling, do it for the right reasons and say so.
If he was OK, but put his foot in his mouth, not intending to offend, then why not put him on gardening leave or summat?
