I don't understand why we just don't play The Jak. He seems hard done by to me, he makes 1 mistake and Is immediately out whereas McGregor gets given 5th, 6th and 7th chances.
Didn't he get PotY at one level below this?
The Jak is just rubbish; I don't understand why he is still here. He just instills a sense of nervousness whenever he plays. If he was any good then McGregor wouldn't keep getting 4, 5 or 6 chances. By all accounts McGregor was carrying an injury last season- Harper should have been brought into the side much earlier. I was hoping McGregor would get back to where he was with a clear summer to get rid of the injury, but unfortunately a couple of errors and he seems no further forward.

Well Ince certainly seems to have made all the difference to Derby, bet he's glad he moved, at least in League 1 next season he'll mostly get in the matchday squad.

No I don't think you're misreading it. I don't think that I've seen any of us suggest that Bentley is a superstar, although many of us can see his clearly obvious potential. Equally I don't think, up until the post that you quoted, any of us had shown any disrespect to Southend.
Bruce confirmed bid in for jela from West Ham, and one more bid for another player. Neither accepted.
Good. He was great for us in the premier league but can't be carrying players who think they're too good for this league.
Be interesting to know what his release clause is. He didn't have his dodgy knees when he signed his contract.
Yes you are misreading it. My point is that he has not been picked up by one of the premier league clubs, we obviously decided as a club what we felt he was worth, but we had a bunch of panty-wetters on here saying we should just up our offer to any level to secure his signature. Fact is we have no idea if he is that good or not. Can anyone on this board say they've watched him more than, at most, half a dozen times? But they all know better than a professional scouting network (not just ours).

I think we'll be better without Jelavic and Hudd. Both seem like Big Time Charlies to me and both monopolise the little possession we get without doing anything positive with it.
