Nope, our teams are dominated by too many foreign players which I believe is stifling our own talent and that is quite clear to see in the National team as they are pretty ****e
Well, I remember the days when all of the players were home grown, and apart from the blip in 1966 (when we were at home), the national team were ****e back then too!
I t I think England had some pretty decent teams under Bobby Robson and were unlucky in occasions. And a couple since then, so that's just a matter of opinion and if that's how you view it, fair enough, that's your perogative.
You obviously don't go back before Bobby Robson! 1974 World Cup: failed to qualify 1978 World Cup: failed to qualify How many foreign players in the leagues in those days?
I don't know why people are picking up on the Allardyce comment like he's said something revolutionary. Jose and Wenger both said years ago that the team that wins always has the best keeper.
Its why Cloughie signed Shilton, on Taylors recommendation. Always remember the story of Taylor trying to give Shilts a late fitnesss test before the European Cup Final and ended up on the grass in the middle of a roundabout
I think that's just stupid whoever said it. Outfielders wouldn't get paid so much if you just needed a better keeper than the opposition to win. You could almost say it about strikers, now and then a team does well with a decent pair of strikers and not much else. Equally we've had a decent team but no strikers and gone down. It's still daft to say it's that simple.
Well, I hate to judge purely on internet videos and forums, but the guy looks like a clown ffs. Surely, there has to be a keeper used to playing in the English leagues out there?
Eastern european keeper i just think jakupovic mark II Like hove said isnt there any good solid english keepers on the lower leagues worth a punt guessing bentleys too expensive but how cheap will his asking price be if he fulfills his potential
Probably bollocks... English Championship side Hull City are leading the race to sign Ghana winger Albert Adomah from rivals Middlesbrough, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal. The Tigers have now set their sights on the Black Stars winger, 27, who has handed in a transfer request after falling out with manager Aitor Karanka. Karanka has left out Adomah from his squad to face Sheffield Wednesday today as the player’s departure looms. The Spaniard left him out of the starting lineup in last weekend’s defeat to his former club Bristol City. Adomah did not feature in the 18-man squad who defeated Burton Albion in the second round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday after a meeting with club officials the previous day. Adomah was one of Middlesbrough’s star players in last season’s campaign and Karanka was hoping to count on the former Bristol City player to secure promotion to the English top-flight.
