We seem to be signing players from teams beginning with "A", "B", or "C".

Played in the same side as Waggy a few times when he turned out for our Sunday League side.....he did pretty much the same, he just stood on the wing and did it all with ease. I even scored from one of his crosses......my claim to fame.

I played against Waggy. He scored an hat trick and still missed a penalty - as usual.

You could say we signed him from the Contract-less league.

HCSS usually gave Ex-Tigers a good game even though we'd get easily beaten on the scoreline. I managed to get one goal against them. Andy Wilson shot and their goalkeeper saved it and the ball looped high into the air. I got under the ball and was waiting for it to come down. I had my eyes on the ball and was hoping I remembered exactly where the goal was and I was expecting to get clattered any second but I managed to jump and head it goalwards and a defender on the line couldn't stop it going in.
That was the highlight of my HCSS football time!

BURNLEY are in negotiations with Brentford over a bid for striker Andre Gray, but reports that an offer of £9million has been accepted are understood to be wide of the mark.

It was also reported this morning that the striker was having a medical ahead of a proposed move to Turf Moor, but those suggestions were premature.

It was also on Skysports.com as well as the BBC, so someone is telling both of them the same porkies. I suspect Mr Hat.

I suspect it's Brentford trying to force it through one way or another as I can't be doing their game prep much good and they will want it over with.

Surely they wouldn't make up BS like this a day out from a game? Would be even more unsettling for the players.

I remember playing against Roy Greenwood. He just stood on the touchline near the half way line. If I stood off him he would receive the ball and trot towards me and when I came to tackle him he would kick it past me and run round me. If I marked him closely the ball would be played behind me and he would run past me and collect the ball. That was in the days when I was quite fit but he had retired and was still incredibly fast.

Someone is feeding the press BS though. Looking at it logically I can't see it being Burnley, Bristol C hinted he wanted to come here so I can't see why Grey or his agent would either.

Roy Greenwood was a Hull City player (obviously before your time). Ron Greenwood was the former England manager.
