There isn't anything in the media at the moment, they contacted the club again last week. Villa know the release clause figure and are prepared to pay it. They are playing the waiting game with his injury and as nobody else has come in for him to date they can wait to see how his injury progresses. BUT expect this to happen if he looks to be on the road to recovery.

Source is as reliable as it gets....

Are you slipping Big Vern's Kid's bird a length?

They'll probably get the £9m in the end if he keeps scoring goals like that on the weekend.
If we get promoted, I don't think anybody would mind the add ons (one of them probably accounts for promotion). Fingers crossed this deal goes through.

BREAKING | Our source is telling us that Gray is on the verge of a £7mill deal to Hull City, with £2m in add-ons"

Is "our source" the Brentford version of "our kid"?
Can be read either way: 7 million including add-ons or 7 million + 2 million add-ons.

Honestly don't know what to do with Jela if no one comes in. Of the three really thought he'd be the one to give a **** the most.
I know exactly what to do with and what to say to a player determined to leave.
1. Go and put yourself in the shop window as the club will not stand in your way,
2. Emphasise that no-one will come in for a player who can't be arsed!
3. If performances don't improve, you're in with the reserves- why waste time carrying a player and donating them appearance bonuses.

Couple of thoughts:
I would expect that Jelavic will leave if his medical goes well. N'Doye is gone as far as I can see.
Abel could well stay as the teams linked to him are skint; in truth I think he is the best one to stay anyway.
Hudds will probably go and I will not lose sleep.
The key is in Bruce being ready with his replacement business.
Keeping the window open beyond the first kick-off is simply ****e for all concerned.
