Indeed, but Burgess was 12 seasons ago now and Jelavic has been missing through injury frustratingly often. So in short, we've barely had decent strikers to call upon in the last 10 years, and when we did it only lasted a year at a time.

And yet, at the emirates, he gave a lot of people one of their memorable moments as a city supporter.

Having said that, Jimmy did the same at Bramhall Lane.

Mendy was excellent in his cameo at Old Trafford, but his performance at Liverpool was one of the best from a City player in the top-flight. He absolutely tore them apart, and Lucas couldn't handle him whatsoever. However, my most memorable Mendy moment was this, at Blackburn in our first ever away game in the Premier League:

"Is it a bird?! Is it a plane?! NO! It's Bernaldo's attempt at a header!"
