Bollocks - just because they're getting the more "world renowned older folk" in doesn't mean it's a retirement league. Clint Dempsey's 32 and nowhere near retiring, and he plays for an MLS team. Half of the US football team play for an MLS team!
I'll put it this way. If a player was still anywhere near decent, clubs in a better league than the MLS would be after them. If Maloney was still rated highly in England when at Wigan last season, he would have stayed here, but he went across to the States for a final pay cheque.
How many players are brought back from the MLS for any extended stint and have done well? Henry had an ok cameo for Arsenal, Donovan for Everton for a month or two, but really, who else?
Sydney I think you're suffering from Steve Bruce syndrome in thinking strikers and wingers are one and the same. It's not as simple as you play in a certain position so you should score x goals. Whatever position Maloney plays he's got a great right foot on him.
Andrea Pirlo would walk into any Premier League team.
Remind me who is backing the MLS club he went to? He's on a shedload. Same reason Villa agreed to go there. Maloney is not a patch on any of them, so don't make me laugh.
It's irrelevant to the point, but I don't think he would. He'd be one of those who flops in England because people close you down here and he couldn't cope with all the physical defending.

As has been said by others, Pirlo would not walk into the PL, especially at his age. Players go to the MLS for a final pay cheque because no one in a decent league will pay anything close for them because they're simply not very good anymore.
Don't insult me. Sorry for speaking my mind about a player who I don't think would be very good. Didn't realise that made me public enemy number one.
