I also agree. Vern's posts are virtually flawless w.r.t. grammar, vocabulary, punctuation and spelling -- far better than most of those that complain about him -- and I suspect we'll soon see him elevate his content. Karl, on the other hand, is virtually illiterate. Vern must be quite annoyed this punk has jumped on his bandwagon. Please ban Karl, but keep Vern. You know it makes sense.
Well said old chap. I know I incur the wrath of a few on here but I do try and inject a little humour from time to time. i believe it is healthy for the mind to engage in a little intellectual cut and thrust.
Young Karl on the other hand is nothing to do with me and clearly needs a little guidance.

I am City through and through. My first match at Boothferry Park was circa 1975 against Fulham. City lost 2-1 but I remember the great Bobby Moore was playing for Fulham.
Running battles down the rear of the east stand as I recall and then the train from Boothferry Park back into the city centre. Hooked for life.
Favourite match - away to Bradford City in the FA Cup. Goals from Whitehurst and Edwards. It was the year we almost turned over Liverpool at Boothferry Park.

You don't annoy me as much as you do others, but why do you sign off with your name or initials? You do realise it says your name above your posts to let us know it's you?

Just habit I suppose. If it pacifies some of the regular posters on here I will stop signing off with BV or Big Vern.
I saw it as a trademark.

Anyone have a link to a good sized Brentford forum so I can read there transfer thread? I'm guessing they are getting info on all this as well.

The only decent one requires you to register to see it. I couldn't be arsed. If there's owt interesting copy & paste it Theres a good lad ta.

I don't mind doing that for you but I'm not seeing the one you are talking about. I have found a few but they only have a handful of posts on the threads.

The first thing I have learned from their board. There is no way Gray will stay with them if we make it clear we want him. They are apparently paying him less than 7,000 a week and they don't want to pay him more than that. <doh>

They are saying we bid 4 mill today and that bid was also rejected.

They think Gray will cost us 8 mill.

Well if he wants to come he'll force through a move. If Odubajo comes I think Gray will.

We will tripple his salary so I can't imagine he won't want to come to us.

Minus a few idiots their fans seem fairly level headed. They seem to think he will come to us and they seem fine with it so long as it provides them a healthy profit. I don't see anyone who claims to be in the know and they are just going off paper talk like us but they seem to believe what's in the papers.

He came from Luton so I doubt it's anywhere near £7k tbh. I thought we were quoted £7m for Gray?

They didn't give an exact figure but they keep saying that a jump up to 20,000 a week would be a trippeling of his salary.

We might have been quoted that but that's what they want for him. I get the feeling their fans would be fine for something less than that. I guess they paid 1.5 for Gray and another player so they seem happy actually with selling him as they think it's been good club business.

I see Gray scored today against Norwich in a friendly, that will have put a few cents on his price.
