I can't see that happening. He is a DP with Chicago so his salary isn't counted towards their salary cap meaning there is no financial need to let him leave. He only joined them this year and I doubt they would want him to leave right before the playoff push. Chicago has 3 DP players so at first look they would have to get rid to get a new one but with that sorta 4th DP slot they created by the free money the league is giving each club I believe that total would cover Maloneys salary so he isn't really taking up a slot and is free to Chicago if one looks at it that way. They wanted Drogba which didn't happen so possibly they made some calls saying he may be available and that's the whisper he is hearing but since they didn't get him I can't see them letting him go. On the positive side if he could do a job with us his salary is chump change (if the salary I am seeing is correct, it's hard to know as it takes a year or so before new players show up on the financials) for a club like us and the transfer fee would be almost nothing since he is not a famous player.Burnsey just tweeted
Whisper that @hullcity might, and I say might, have an interest in Chicago Fire and ex Celtic, Villa, Wigan, striker Shaun Maloney. [HASHTAG]#hcafc[/HASHTAG]
Would be a decent signing
Your older brother is unwell?
You obviously went to the same public school as him.

Yea one has to wonder why they decided to call it that.
I've posted that story a few times I'll try to find it and send you the link in a day or two I'm on an iPad and the girlfriend has people over so I can't use the computer in the office. If I forget just remind me.So how come you support City? I'd always assumed you'd emigrated from Hull years ago.
