Yeah think we agreed on hoolahan the other week, leon brittons another and barry bannan dimunitive little players who can unlock defences its a huge hole we have in our team at the minute, you watch games and we hardly make clear cut chances from through balls or balls into the channels for strikers to run onto. I know hudds was ****e last year but id be really tempted to give him an advanced playmaking role as hes got the eye for the pass hes just never up with play to execute it, id scrap this deep lying playmaker role bruce has given him as its just not working, i think he struggles to move up with the pace of a counter attack once hes given the ball to a teammate, why not have him further up the pitch to rcieve the ball and supply the strikers? . Other than that its hopefully buy somebody as it seems to be getting overlooked, its okay buying fancy strikers and hoping theyl produce something out of nothing but be so much easier if we went out and finally solved the playmaker problem

'i dont think its playing to his strengths.'

Why did you edit the above bit out? It was true, the Bruce of last season often never played to players strengths, I'm truly hoping that the Bruce of this year will be different.

I would have tried to get Hoolahan as a part of the Brady deal - he'd have been ideal. Maybe Bruce has eyes on a Midfielder to come in? Ridiculous that we still don't know the outcome re Livermore.

It is crazy that we have no outcome, although he is finished at the club regardless, we (or any other team in the same situation) could be holding out and miss out on preferred targets. It is pretty irresponsible from the governing body to put a team in that position.

So you'd play Huddlestone more as an enganche than as a regista? But he's a natural in the DM position and ineffectual in the AMC position, he's probably a 4.5 star DM in the championship (leading player for most championship clubs) or a half star AMC (below average for the senior team). He also has low pace, acceleration, agility and dribbling (less than 10 I believe) which are vital to be effective further upfield.

I added a bit in and if id of left that part in it wouldnt of made sense haha!!! But you got the jist, i think he'd be better utilised for his vision further up field hes by far our best passer of a ball, but bruce just has him doing little lay offs to the attack minded players when i think hed be more effective playing balls through or into space over defences without the defensive duties that hes not really good at

3 of them are probably Bentley, Gray and Palacios (who I think bruce is including in the 4/5).

Additionally, what do we think the starting 11 will be in just over week?
Never mind the starting 11 - what do you think the attendance will be?

Although i agree we need somebody who can unlock a defence i can't imagine Huddlestone doing this. He's too big and slow with the turning span of an elephant. He can pass a ball side to side but he shouldn't be playing anywhere near behind the strikers and although i think we should sign Leon Britton i've only ever seen him play deeper in midfield. He's the one player i really want us to sign this season.

Hoolahan is a decent shout, think he's come up a few times on here but there are not many i can think of really. Bannan is ****e though.

Huddlestone is not mobile enough. Happy to sit on the edge of the 18 yard box and play little sideways balls.

I can't remember him coming close to scoring last season. He is far from a natural athlete.

Not sure what Bruce has in mind with Odabajo, is he ahead of Taylor at RB or a replacement for Elmo at RM? Either way it would take £10m for Brentford to part with him and Gray apparently
