Well if we had a fair few players on 50000 a week already, even a fifty percent wage cut still leaves us with players on 25000 a week, which was double what most of Nigel pearson's signings were on.

The clubs that were in for him finished 7th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th, so only two were bottom six clubs.

I don't believe the top clubs were seriously in for him at the price we obviously value him at, but the bottom clubs are obviously much more desperate.

Groningen. I watched some Dutch football last season and I was impressed every time I saw him play. I think he'll do well in the Championship. QPR have made some decent signings so far.

Agree re: Barton, ideally on a pay per play deal so when he's suspended it isn't costing us anything. Add some backbone and nous to the midfield.
