"We have agreed a fee for James Chester. He flew home last night and he's talking terms with West Brom today," manager Steve Bruce told the Mail.

"We wish him the best of luck. It's inevitable when you get relegated. He has been a great servant for us since he joined from Manchester United.

He's been a terrific player. We've lost Robbie (Brady) and now James and hopefully there'll be no more leaving. Everybody has their price and the fee for James is a good one and we wish him the best of luck."

What about Hernandez, surely he will be gone??? Surely both us and Bruce will be joint in wanting rid.

If - and it's a big if - nobody else goes now other than N'Doye and Jelly can be persuaded to stay then we've had an excellent summer in terms of outgoing. Forget the relative quality of those that have gone, the positions we were strongest for back-up were left side and centre back.

Hopefully no more will be leaving?

Does that mean he's hanging on to the three strickers?
Watch the video on the HDM site. Brucie says the words in the quote, not necessarily in that order, and there are other words there too.

The current strikers I expect will go. Primarily as they have all suggested they don't want to play in the Championship.

Chester, Brady and Ince leaving seemed inevitable with one year left on their contracts and the relegation and it seems we have at least taken a decent fee for each of them. Be nice to see N'Doye and Hernandez move on and us replace with strikers who want to be here but personally I'd like to see Jela stay. Even if he says he wants to go; he seems the sort of character who will at least try his best if he doesn't get his move and his best (barring injuries) might well be good enough for 20 plus goals at Championship level. Anyway; the team is starting to evolve it seems albeit later than we might have liked.

All our forwards want to leave, only Jelly though will still put in a shift in the Championship, the other two will have their feet up.
