Doesn't matter. Copa America obviously.

Mind you he had plenty of time off during the season and in games he was 'playing in'. I'd get him in for extra running

Should have him training sitting on a bench or handing drinks out

I'd like to see a couple of old heads come in, along the lines of Ray Parlour and Pederson. It's worked for us before. Any ideas?

Our kid has just been on the blower.

Couple of bids for players in the pipeline. Forward and defensive midfielder <party>

Can I ask what Chuba Akpom has done to impress you? I saw him for Brentford a few years back and he was ****e.

This goal for England U20's in May was a good goal:

This next video shows his ability to hold the ball up and then he showed great skill to beat his man.

This goal was a good finish:

These were all at the Toulon Tournament in France this summer, I never did say he had done anything in particular to impress me, but he is thought highly of at Arsenal, and he is a different option to the other two players. As the videos show, he has some decent ability, and I would imagine him being 3rd or 4th choice for us if we did sign him, he would be good back up. Frazier Campbell was unknown before he came to us, he did nothing of note to impress anyone before he came to the club (Apart from the club scouts, obviously) and look how well he did for us. Worth a gamble on loan I would say..

We should give Andy Hessenthaler a call, is he still playing? <laugh>

On a serious note, I heard Drogba (37, I didn't realise he was that old) is still a free agent. <cheers>

Antonio Cassano? Only 32, he might only want to stay in Italy though.

Nolan is only 33 and performed well in the PL last season. That's a little bit different to Hessenthaler.

Hessenthaler was a joke, but Nolan is a good shout. But I do think we will go in for Peter Whittingham, probably not as good as Nolan, but at this level he is a very good player.

He's a bit of a twat but Kevin Nolan would be a decent signing for the Championship. He's experienced in getting teams out of this league having done it with Newcastle and West Ham. Scores goals too and he's a gob on legs.

Yeah I saw Bolton were after him, obviously he has affiliations there. But presumably we could offer better money and a better chance of promotion.

If he'd have scored 20 in 31 in a top flight league there's not much chance we'd have got him at all.

Exactly, going back to my original point, he did nothing of huge significance and was relatively unknown, hence why we were able to sign him, glad we got there in the end.
