According to the Derby Evening Telegraph, Derby County still plan to bid for Ince, despite not getting promoted(though it's unlikely to be anywhere near the £5m originally reported).
It'd be madness to let him go to a potential promotion rival, however can Bruce get the best out of him as McLaren seemed to do? If not he may as well be allowed to leave and recoup at least what we paid for him. This was always going to be a problem when he was allowed to sign a two year contract. With 12 months left on his deal he more or less has us over a barrel, or at least his dad does, the same barrel he had Blackpool over with the same period remaining on his contract.

If he'd have been a star in the PL maybe we would have been in a position of potential profit now with regard to Ince. He wasn't and we aren't. Obviously I hope that I'm wrong and that we make a bob or two, or that he stars for us next season, I just don't see it at the moment.

From todays HDM :- Newcastle eye Chester
After pipping City to Premier League survival on Sunday, Newcastle United are preparing to rub salt into the Tigers' wounds, if reports are to believed.
The Daily Star claims the Magpies are interested in City defender James Chester as they look to get their summer spending underway. West Brom were linked with a move for the 26-year-old earlier in the month and Chester is likely to be one of the most sought-after members of the Tigers squad.
As far as Chester is concerned, one would assume it would take a huge bid for City to even consider selling.
Okay, I know it's only come from the Daily Star but it would seem that the vultures are already circling....only to be expected of course.

A friend at work who supports L**ds has heard we're interested in Becchio on a free transfer.

Nick Powell seems to be surplus at Man U. He went from hit to **** in the space of one season!

We might as well re-sign Sagbo because if Jelavic and N'Doye go then the mystery strikers who come in will be no better than he is.

A fair shout. Maybe Phelan will help in getting a couple in from MU ?

Wilson and Powell would be good in the championship.

As for Bamford,, Chelsea may add him to the first team squad. Otherwise a PL will happen.

Ince wont be going anywhere, come January he can talk to any club he choses , always thought it strange that we chase someone for so long and when we get him, he only signs a 2 year deal I think the word is we've been shafted.

For that reason, I think we'll take any offer that comes close to what we paid for him.
